Hi gang,

I'm the proud new owner of a 2006 Cooper S with 38,000 babied miles on it. I pick it up this coming Tuesday.

A quick background. I was looking for something to commute back and forth to work in about 25 miles each way. I wanted something small, economical and sporty. I never in a million years thought I would decide to look at MINI's. A buddy of mine told me to check them out. "That little ugly clown car?" I asked. Yep, that's the one.

Well, yesterday in a private sale, I went to test drive the one I eventually bought and fell in love with it. Good looks, more room than you'd think, and quick! I was absolutely amazed.

I guess about the only thing I don't like about it having only been in it for about 20 minutes is the god awful sound system. Holy smokes, what was Bimmer thinking? Other than that, I think I'm going to be pretty happy.

Nice choice... and wow, very low mileage... you might want to check out some aftermarket sound system.

Thanks guys I'm really excited to pick it up. Tuesday is a long way away. I've already begun the customization route and purchased a Kenwood excelon 996. I guess I'll need to pick up a PAC Swi Jack for the steering controls too. I'll post pics once I figure out how.
