New in Colorado

Hi All -

I'm pleased to have found this forum, been lurking for a while now time to dive in.

Engineer by profession, car nut by genetics.

Currently working on an '04 R50 with a blown engine. I'll post the details in the other forum.

Cheers,
Glen

Thanks! This is a project car. My Dad bought it with a 'little rattle'. In the course of him working on it, he made a couple of mistakes replacing the timing chain & tensioner and got the timing waaaaay off, spun it over, bent all the exhaust valves.

So, he dropped it off at my place for me to finish. Hope to have it on the road soon -- I have a thread in the R50/R53 forum describing more what's going on.

Welcome, when you get it running again, come out to a MINI5280 drive or gathering. We find the R50s pretty good in the twisties.

Don -

Sounds like great fun! My other toys are Datsun 240Z's and we enjoy running those in the canyons too. Would be great to give the Mini a shot and see what it can do.

Cheers,
Glen

Welcome! If you are really into doing something different with the MINI, Cravenspeed has an electric conversion kit for the MINI.
