G'Day everybody,

recently purchased an '05 cooper S. Curious about local service locations.
Anyone have a good source for shop manuals? How does the Mini do in winter? I need to get myself to the ski slopes periodically. Looking forward to sharing info, experiences.

Welcome to NAM
Post some pics of your new to you baby. I like the Bentley 05-06 manual. They do fine with good all season winter tires.

Welcome! Don't know any shops in Tucson but if you can't find anyone there's a good one on Tempe (Eurotechs).

A bunch of us Valley MINIs are doing a run up to Jerome and Sedona on January 7th in case you are interested.

great shop at 2530 e fort lowell blvd ( independent bmw) which repairs bmw and mini. excellent service and honest. when my mini arrived from florida i noticed one of the lug nuts were missing ( the car had the wheels and tires replaced before shipping) called them -they said come over and with no waiting they installed a new lug nut- when i went to pay they said " no charge " .

Keep me in the loop, I think I would be interested in that.

Thanks for the tip DRNO.
I made a nice highway run from Tucson to Lordsburg last weekend. On the
return I took a detour through the Chiricahuas. Took Pinery canyon road (dirt)
found snow for some distance, Scared myself a little bit, but found that the Mini has the best traction control system of any car I've ever driven. Beautiful country there, had no camera that day, of course.

I purchased the r56 Bentley Service Manual from Amazon at a very good price. Might want to try there for the r53 manual.

I purchased an 03 MCS in Oct and the dealer sent me to Dearing Automotive on Ft Lowell. I will let you know how the car turns out when I get it back. They only use factory parts and my supercharger had to come from Europe.

Took Wolfgang through his first good set of twisties this evening. He is a monster in the corners. Closest I've come previously was the 03 Eclipse GT after I upgraded to 245/45/17 tires. Autocross
season runs throught the winter here in AZ. Looking forward to that.
