I just got this sports antenna yesterday from Amazon. I think it's gonna look awesome on my Mini.

Nice. I think we will get one for our new MINI and get rid of the "R/C car" stock antenna.

Yay, you should. You can find them cheaper on ebay but then they aren't necessarily genuine factory and I want to make sure it works. Mine came in a box and definitely looked legit.

How does the reception of the stubby compare to the stock one?

Hi PatM, I am not really sure, but I read that it might not have as good a reception as the stock one in certain areas. Since I won't be listening to a lot of radio anyway, it will be fine for my purposes.

That makes sense. I listen to a lot of radio and kind of live in the boondocks so reception is important to me.

Yeah, in your case, I think it would be better to stick with the factory one.

Gizmo has his own Amazon Wish list

There are some duplicates, because I'm adding these things at work and don't have time to research compatibility or which ones work the best just yet

The shorty only seems to change reception to the AM channels.
