I started out my membership here by posting a rant/story of my current 2012 Cooper S ordeal here...

But it's not all bad. Although I don't yet have the vehicle back in my possession, I am proud and excited about being back in the MINI club.

Here are a couple of photos of the new ride when it was in my driveway last week, before the breakdown...






She's a beauty. We got her with the sport package, technology package, sunroof, navigation, iPod, heated seats, backup sensors, 17" wheels, and probably more that I'm forgetting. This is a big upgrade for me over the last Cooper which we owned in 2009.

Also, here is the vehicle I just sold -- and which the 2012 Cooper S is replacing. The Cooper S is far more affordable when it comes to gas, insurance, and registration. The payments are also more reasonable...





And here is a little pic of our 2009 Justa which was sold in 2010 to get into the Beemer pictured above.

i actually really love that color combination and kinda wish i had considered it.

 

Ah, they're bringing lightning blue back?? What a great color I may be biased though....

 

When I learned that Lightning Blue was coming back, I couldn't resist!

 

I'm eager to start driving and enjoying the new ride. The wait is killing me...

 

128 and 135 ????? And what did'nt you like about it. Cause that made my short list before I decided on the MCS

 

The 128i pictured above had a sticker of $40,300. While I didn't quite pay that much, the payments were still too high. The insurance was also about double that of the MINI. The MCS proved to be a heck of a lot more affordable, and yet still accelerates to 60mph a half-second quicker than the 128i. The Beemer was also a gas hog.

We sold the 128 privately after 15 months and 22,000 miles.

 

Love LiB! Our first was LiB/W. Hope all turns out OK for you!

 

Looking good I took home a well equipped LiB 2 week ago. Great color!

 

That color is great! And hurray for the traditional stripes!

 

I must say, LiB/W is far superior to any other combo offered....ever

 

Lightning Blue is my Hyper Blue equivalent for the 2nd gens and I love it more than hyper blue.

I can't blame you for having all blue cars - it is after all the best color ;D
