Platinum Ray is on the way!
The Platinum Ray picked up at least some MINIs a few days ago, and it is currently in the Channel, heading west past Plymouth.

It just came into range of the receivers in Panama. It's due at the port near the Canal today, and presumably will traverse the Canal tonight or tomorrow.

So far, it looks like the Marine Traffic website has the most up-to-date information on the ship. Sailwx still only shows the 09/13 position, and of course vesseltracker's free info is delayed by 24 hours.

At this very moment, the ship is in the Miraflores locks! I am absurdly excited about this fact. I've been taking screen-shots of the high-res web-cam they have on the locks for the past 15 minutes.

Excellent, B&W! You did the same thing that I did, screen shots of the Miraflores transit. I even wrapped them together into an animated GIF--I guess I really am a dork.
The high-res and low-res cameras have different views; the high-res is to the East and the low-Res to the West. The low-res view also lags the high-res one by a couple of minutes. I realized that after the Ray departed the high-res view, so I was able to get a few pics of it entering the locks, and a whole bunch of it departing.

The ship just came back into range of the receivers a couple of hours ago. Right now, it is off the coast of Baja California, not far from Punta Prieta. I am not certain if it will be trackable all the way from there to Port Hueneme or not.

My MINI, Fenimore, is now listed as "DISCHARGED" as of 05:00, and "DELIVERED FROM" as of 07:30. Not sure if those are local time, or GMT. Which would be 13 hours ago, instead of 5 hours ago. Regardless, he has obviously been unloaded and presumably is in the VDC now, or is going into it fairly soon!

Beautiful car! I love the pictures. It looks like our cars could have been on the same vessel, but I haven't heard from my salesman lately. I guess it all depends what order it was put on the truck for delivery. I should hear something next week, but I'm having some accessories added by the dealer, so that may take a few days also. I'm curious, where exactly is your dealership? Mine is in Concord, CA. Thanks for the updates.

B&W, my MA didn't know about the trim. Hopefully it's the type that doesn't peel quickly.
Sandy, my dealer is in San Jose. My guess is that I just lucked out on when the car went into the VDC and onto the truck. It also didn't have much that needed to be done (I am assuming the bonnet stripes were VDC or dealer installed, but that was it for non-factory stuff) so that may have helped as well.
