Without Further Ado...Meet Groo!

Greetings! I've been so busy since I picked up my car last Thursday, I'm just now getting around to getting some pics online. Thanks to the endless list of NAMers who helped me out so much during my wait!

First, I must say major props to Sewell Plano for making this the best car buying experience you could ever ask for. They took the old stereotypical dealership experience, tore it up, and threw it out the window. Hats off to Jeremy Lucky, Lance Baker, and the whole crew! I rate you guys an 11 on a scale of 10.

Here is the breakdown
2012 MB/MB MCSa
Black Lounge Leather
Sunroof
Armrest
Anthracite
Piano Black Interior/Carbon Color Line
Xenons
Rear Fog (gotta have it to fill out the switch bank)
HK
JCW Appearance Package
JCW Tuning Kit
JCW Suspension
JCW Strut Brace (thanks, Plano, how sick is that bad boy?!?)
Window Tint SOON!

Here is a link to all the pics I have so far. Note that the rear left is missing the JCW badge. There was a very minor problem with it and Plano stepped right up to fix it, so I should have it in a few days.

Thanks so much everybody, I'm so happy with it! It's the result of a very diligent plan I set for myself 5 years ago and to see it come true is so exciting.

My previous car was a 14-yo base model Eclipse with no options that we bought new and it finally died at 180k miles (RIP). If you only knew how many times I had to answer the "When are you getting your car?" question. I'm the only one who believed. Patience, grasshoppa!

The funny thing is, I haven't even played a cd on the HK system yet, because all I want to do is listen to the sweet music from the exhaust!

thanks again!

Congrats! And I also find myself turning off the music in mine - and it's only a justa, but the engine sound is music to my ears.

I thought so too... As this is not a factory aero install maybe the dealership installed the wrong grill when they missed the rear JCW badge?

I'm really liking the new JCW front bumper/aero better than the 2011+ revised front-end on the S.

Actually I'm pretty sure that the chrome surround is standard now. I'm considering some blackout work, but tint is first priority at the moment. Both for looks and also to tame some of this ridiculous Texas heat.

Also, my dealership didn't overlook the rear badge, it's just that when it was put on, it was slightly too low, so it looked lopsided with the "S" badge on the right side. Picky, I know, but kind of noticeable. Instead of trying to re-use the old badge, they wanted to put on a fresh one.

Thanks for all the kind words, friends! If you are ever in the North Dallas area, give me a shout and we can go for a spin!

Nothing wrong with being picky after spending all that money on a car.

I hope the factory JCW hatch Aero has the black grill surround - otherwise I will be seriously annoyed. But at least its an easy fix.

i read here that the chrome grill was used for factory jcw pack for awhile at the beginning due to 'production issue'. then, mini are now using the black grill at the factory.

subzero, maybe the dealer got any early package of the jcw...

Jon, I ordered my JCW aero package from the factory. It was installed at the VDC and I also received the chrome surround. I pointed out to my MA that on the configurator it showed the black grill surround and MINI agreed to replace it. BTW, your car looks amazing.

IIRC, the configurator used to show a black grill surround when you added the JCW package to an MCS; now it shows a silver grill surround.

@JEdwards nice garage!

erbn, Thank you for the compliment on the garage. You are right. When you add the JCW package it shows the silver surround, but when you highlight the package selection and review what is included in the package it still shows a black surround and the description states ".....a black grille with a gloss black surround that blend seamlessly with the black wheel arches." No big deal just seems a little misleading or at least confusing. JE
