Our new Cooper S in West Seattle

Hello. My wife and I just bought our first new car a couple weeks ago, a 2011 Cooper S in Hot Chocolate. We initially bought it as a weekend car since she carpools to work and I bus, but I'm finding more and more I'm looking for excuses to take it out. Both of us love it. Anyways, just wanted to say hi and show you a picture I had the salesman take when we took delivery.

It looks great! You might just have to end up getting one for yourself, too

Thanks for the welcome. I dropped it off to the detailer last night to have a clear bra put on so I'm missing my car til I get to pick it up on Sunday.

Your MINI is very neat & beautiful. I have a 2009 PW/B Clubby S...fine car so far. One suggestion, learn to change your oil and you'll feel even better about your new car! Please note that I am one of those who believes in monitoring/changing the oil on a basis more than recommended in the owner's manual. I also use Blackstone Labs to assist me in determining oil change intervals.

Congratulations on your new MINI from another West Seattle-ite. I have a British Racing Green/White top '02 Cooper and my wife has a Silk Green/Silk Green '03 Cooper. If you see us around West Seattle, we are big wavers, so wave back!

Also- I suggest joining the local club, PSMINI.org. We are an active group with drives, picnics (one coming up on 8/14) and work parties always happening, plus lots of helpful members always ready to answer questions. Using the forum is free. There is a small fee for full membership.

See you on the SW streets!

Val

Awesome! Glad to see another West Seattleite on here. We're up at the Alaska Junction but will be looking for your MINIs as we're out driving around. You know of any good roads nearby for driving? Of course cruising on Alki is one thing but I'd like to get some winds, too.

As for PSMINI... I think I'll go join right now. Sadly I work weekends but hopefully I'll be able to make it to an event one of these days.

I was searching for an older post I made about airbags and remembered that I forgot to reply to this.

Try the SW 152nd St to Maplewild Ave to SW 172nd St to Sylvester Rd loop in Burien. Fun to drive- the club makes that loop each year after we do the Burien 4th of July parade.

Plus, further south there's the Dash Point Road (509) loop in Federal Way.
