My Coupe has been delivered! Got it today. Arrived at the dealership yesterday. They rushed it to get it ready for me. First custom ordered Coupe at Mini of Plano

 

I assume it will be but don't know for sure. What do you have on order?

 

My new coupe is in production as of Monday! I am very excited to finally see some movement since my order was in in early September. The wait is such a pain in the ****.
While I have to wait I am still deciding if I should go with stripes or no stripes. I ordered without stripes but keep going back and forth.

 

As of this morning (east coast time), mine was still listed as waiting at the docks for a ship with no other information available. There's one going out today that I was hoping for... Nice dreams. There's always this weekend. I might actually just call a rep later today and see what a human can tell me.

 

Do all MINI's arrive state side in NJ? I am near dallas and mine is either waiting to be loaded on a boat or has just been loaded.

 

Update on my Ice Blue Justa ordered on 10/1

Yesterday my MA reported that it was in the paint shop. And that we should be spot on for a 6-week delivery.

Today I called askmini and the automated line reported that it has been transported to the port.

Needless to say I am impressed and very excited.

 

No, there are a number of VDCs (Vehicle Distribution Centers) in the US. Check the first post in the "How To Track Your MINI" sticky thread at the top of this forum; it will tell you where the VDCs are and how to determine which one your car will be landing at.

There is only one on the Left Coast, that being Port Hueneme near Oxnard CA. So if you're out this-a-way, that's where your car will be going.

 

I think yours will come in through Brunswick, and I think it's about two weeks at sea...

 

I doubt my convertible made it on. The problem is that the next boat to the West Coast is the Aida leaving Southampton on the 22, but she arrives at Port Hueneme on 11-29 because of numerous other stops.
I am hoping my new ride doesn't go on the Aida, but instead on the Undine which leaves 10-26 but arrives on 11-16 with no stops in between. First time I have ever wanted to catch a later boat.

The Mac can't work with the WW system to check VINs on loading, so I am depending on my MA to give me the info on the ship. Luckily he has been a friend for the past 4 years since I was no the Clubby list so long. He knows my obsession all too well.

I rarely see the Charleston VDC used.. Not sure if MINIs go to that one anymore.. May just be BMW now.

 

Who do you call at this point? my car is also sitting in the port and I'm hoping it loads today but how can i know? the WW status has not changed since it told me that it was returned to shipper. HOW FRUSTRATING!

 

Checking WW on my Mac didn't work when using Safari, but worked fine when I tried it using Firefox.

 

Thank you for that info. As always NAM comes through. People without MINIs think I'm O/C, but all of you understand me perfectly.

Just went onto the site. Thank you 1,000 times for that info. Mad Max made it onto the Asian Vision with arrival date of Nov. 2. This is the best news ever! I shouldn't be so excited with this being my second MINI, but honestly if I could have the garage full of only MINIs that would be heaven!

Love the stripes. I didn't get them on the convertible because of the British flag mirror, side scuttle and inside mirror covers. Still would have loved viper stripes, but afraid it would look overdone.

 

Ha-ha. I've managed to include my students in the waiting game (I teach h.s.), providing them with daily updates. O/C? Indeed... Checking in online and via phone during free periods, posting frustrating updates to my FB profile, dreaming that the car actually made it on a ship last night, etc.

 

Gorgeous! Congrats on the new ride. I almost waited to order the Roadster in February, but after having a Z3 and Miata years ago I found out there wasn't enough room for stuff when we went with the European auto tour. However, the feeling of the coupe and roadster should overpower any negatives. I can always use the Clubman for more room.

The hardest thing you will have to contend with is trying to wipe the grin off your face as you drive. Nothing compares to a MINI--nothing.

 

I called MINI and they were only able to tell me that my MCS was at the docks, using this link, https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d-updated.html, and my VIN... I was able to confirm that she had started her cruise on the Asian Vision! Arriving Nov 2nd in Cal, then a trip to Loveland Mini! I feel better knowing that she is moving closer to the Rockies.

 

The Tamerlane just left southampton and its on it way to Baltimore. I wonder if my car is inside..

 

I just got a call from my MA who said Gizmo is on a truck somewhere here in the US. Do they take a truck from the Georgia port to the VDC?

 

The VDC is at the port in Brunswick. What ship were you on?

 

So Bubble in Squeak lands in Baltimore tomorrow (CARMEN)!! MA said that I should be able to pick her up mid next week (thank god Mini of Sterling is 50 miles from the VDC). I CANT' WAIT!

New side scuttle are here, waiting for the car, the British style front licence plate is here as well! I am a WEEK AWAY from motoring!

 

I was thinking the same thing about mine, too. Of course, I checked the VIN in the cargo search and it wasn't listed, so...

 

I dunno...I thought Gizmo was still sitting at the port in the UK. He never made it to a WW ship, and I thought he missed the 10/1 K-Line ship, but I guess he made that one.

That would have been the Georgia Highway

 

My hatch was the first 2012 to arrive in Plano, and it came in thru Charleston. It went on K-line and stopped in Baltimore, then Brunswick before finally being unloaded in Charleston.
