My mini has arrived but....

My mini finally arrived after my 8 weeks! but...found out my dealer made some errors in my initial order and forgot to add my black housing xenon lights, stripes, and black wheels

They said they will swap out the parts from another vehicle: xenon lights & wheels and add the stripes. Should I have any concerns? Any problems from swapping xenon lights?

Will be picking up tomorrow ~ guess I should be happy getting it spec'd exactly like i wanted.

Btw: Thanks to the week 23 support group!

Kinda disappointing but no concerns. The headlights are 3 or 4 bolts and an a electrical connection; 5 minutes per side tops.

Plus, it's certainly all under warranty if there does happen to be a problem. No worries; you'll get the car you ordered, eventually...

Get good paperwork for it and keep it safe. Any problems later and the dealer will likley "forget" and accuse you of upgrading yourself since the vehicle won't show as being ordered with them.

Sorry to hear they didn't get it right. My MA warned me yesterday that he thinks they may not have got my order right either. I hope this isn't true. Still waiting for my car to arrive so we will see.

And yeah, the week 23 support group has been awesome

You're living my recurring nightmare that I've had every night this week!! Only mine was the wrong model, color....everything.

Like an earlier poster said, paper trail!!!

And yeah....the week 23ers have made this all tolerable. It's nice to know I'm not the only one anxiously waiting....notice I didn't say patiently.

Achilles Honor had the same issue vis-a-vis black headlights and the dealer did just what yours said they would do. Seems to have gone okay.

Wanna hear a weird one? The dealer got all of my options ordered correctly, but the factory screwed up and stamped my 2006 MINI with a 2007 VIN! It delayed my delivery by almost six weeks while MINI decided if they were going to have to destroy all 147 affected cars and re-build them. They ended up being able to cross out the old VIN under the hood and stamp the correct one next to it, and replace all the VIN labels throughout the car. MINIUSA was nice about it, and gave me a free wind deflector, a free extension of the service agreement to four years / 50k miles, and a $250 gift certificate, but it was maddening not knowing where my car was, when it was going to arrive, or if they were going to have to scrap it and start over.
