My name is Fernando, from Barcelona, Spain.

As you see on my profile I'm a NAM member since May 2007 but I think I never introduced myself here.

Yes, I know, I'm a dirty bstrd...

I was one of the founders of the deceased Formula MINI club in Spain. We reached the number of 8.000 members last year, but sadly we found out there were some important internal issues with some management members and 99% of us decided to resign and leave that club. Aditional problems lead Formula MINI to close virtual doors forever.

So we founded The Comminity ( MINI+community=comminity, yes, bad joke but it works ) and things are much better now.

We have a sponsored car on spanish MINI Challenge, we did the first Harley Davidson + MINI run ever (really, you can look for it on youtube!) and many other crazy ideas that we always wanted to do but never did before...

My nickname there is "Boston". I wanted to use the same one here but it was taken. Can you imagine that ?? There's someone on NAM using "Boston"!! Why ? Obviously here is not that original I guess...

And about me...

I'm 37, copywriter on an advertising agency in sunny Barcelona and I have 2 MINI on my garage.

My first one is a MINI Cooper '03 Liquid Yellow / Black roof and bonnet stripes / Panther Black and an "original" JCW exhaust pipe. Not the sound kit one, the big round sport with a very deep sound.

My second MINI is a Dark Silver MCS JCW /white bonnet stripes /R90 17".

This was my company car and finally I decided to keep it for me. Then I tried to sell my other MINI Cooper but the big ghost of the worldwide crysis decided for me and the Cooper is still on my garage.


I've been trying to upload some pictures of both cars but I've had error messages. I think it's because of my Safari browser. I'll try again when I come back home (I'm at the office right now, don't tell my boss!)

Welcome to the forum Fernando, good luck with your new MINI organization.

 

"Cooper Interceptor" was the 5th name I tried . It was from the time that the Cooper was my main car. Now I should say "Cooper S Interceptor and a Cooper on the garage."
