Hello all, I actually picked up my Mini mid-May, but I figured after a few months of lurking, I should say hello.



However, with my hello, I have questions...

I have been watching BlimeyCabrio's videos on YouTube and I have to say that my supercharger is no where near as pronounced as his is. Admittedly, I haven't paid much attention while accelerating quickly for fear of veering off the road, so that may be it. My last vehicle was a Jeep TJ. Not exactly a speed demon.

Accompanying that is a constant whine from my steering pump that is louder while under load, which I chalk up to a dying pump.

Finally, I have a sort of chatter at idle only while the clutch is engaged. Disengaged, it silences and for a split second of throttle I can hear the chatter increase before disappearing in the higher rpm range. I was thinking tranny mount, but after noticing that the tranny mount is right out in the open there (unless I'm mistaken), figured it couldn't be that. The bushing does look a little loose for my liking, but the sound is coming from a lower source.

So thanks for the forum and welcome. Out of the three Mini forums, I picked you guys. That has to mean something, right?
