MCSR53 owner in the Boston area.

Hello! This is my first post on this site, I own an '05 MINI Cooper S and would like to talk to R53 owners and enthusiasts so we can help each other with mods and whatnot.

Welcome!!
Ditto on the above advise....folks will sometimes meet up at greeasy's garage out in worchester (a great mini centric shop) and go on group rides....the link above to mmc is where much of it is arranged.
Congrats on the car!!

What part of Lowell are you in? (I'm in Pawtucketville, myself.)

I've seen a handful of MINIs around recently; maybe you?

Highlands, chili red Coope S black rims DC logo on the back with 05s on the sides, maybe I've seen you around haha. I've counted 6 coopers in Lowell so far.

I'll be on the lookout for you!!
I'm fairly distinctive -- just look for the DS/DS w. black "butt" stripes.

I've seen one other DS R53 around town recently and had a DS cabrio parked next to me the other day. There's a CR R56 regularly parked on Arcand Drive by the police station. There's a PW/B clubbie parked at the Hess station downtown almost every morning, and I used to see a DS/PS clubbie on my morning commute as well.

Is it a 03 or 05? You said 03 in your signature but 05 in this post. I am confused.
I live in Worcester and I drive to Lowell/Acton direction once in a while to visit friends. I am going to get my summer wheels on at Greasy's tomorrow hopefully! John and Pete are nice people!

hey man I just noticed that hahaha I own a '05 I don't know why I put '03 in my signature... Who knows what was going through my mind haha. I am yet to go through that shop, I'm the only one with a Cooper out of all my friends so I've never really gone on the rally events or drives up north or even Greasy's shop Hopefully that changes now that I joined both NAM and MMC

I got a '05 too. Silver low profile. Not so popping in the not-so-safe neighborhood. I really wish I have registered for the Mini is on Top meet. It's too late now. There is a nice track in CT and I am sure it's worth checking it out over the summer

I haven't driven the main track but I did a Skip Barber driving (as opposed to racing) course there many moons ago. It's a beautiful location and a nice drive to get down there.
