I've been lurking since I bought a MINI for my wife back in January. 2010 Justa Automatic, Horizon Blue/Black Roof & Mirrors, Premium Package. 10K miles and absolutley no problems with the car, although I've read about a lot them with the S. Seems to be a great car so far. I've changed oil twice and rotated the tires. I match marked the cam chain tensioner with a paint pen and check it about once a week. I also make my wife let the engine run until the idle speed stops dropping, about 2 minutes, before she drives away. I'm 47 and old school. Meaning I do my own maintenance, believe in frequent oil changes and letting an engine warm up/oil up before driving. Lots of great info on this forum and I'm happy to have found it.

Thanks and I sure will contribute if issues arrise. One thing I did already was zip tie up the lower radiator hose to the fan shroud. During an oil change I noticed that it was hanging down lower than the front air dam. Not good.
