My MA emailed me on Friday saying that my mini was in the port of Munich waiting on a boat and that it would arrive in GA in about 13 days.
I've been trying to track it but I'm not sure which boat. Any ideas?

13 days from today would be the 25th, which would be the day the AIDA arrives in Brunswick, GA. It's the boat I thought my MINI would be on.

It left Southampton, England yesterday.

I don't know why your MINI would be in the port of Munich, though...unless it's a Countryman it should be in Southampton.

Edit: just noticed you said 13 days from Friday, which would be the 21st. The California Highway left Southampton on Saturday the 9th and arrives in Brunswick, GA on the 20th. My MA was able to confirm yesterday that that's the ship my MINI is on.

Same question I had.
I've thought about emailing him back to ask, but I don't wanna be "one of those" customers

I think I'm going to email him back anyway

It looks like Madame Butterfly is just pulling out of Southhampton headed to the west coast!

I checked the WW site and my MCS is onboard!

Me: K-Line? So it's on the California Highway
MA: Um...yeah. It left the just the other day.
Me: Should have left on the 9th, then.
MA: No. It was Saturday. That was the...um...yeah...9th. You're right. They usually take about two weeks to cross.
Me: The California Highway is scheduled to be in Brusnwick, GA on the 20th. That's where your port is, right?
MA: Yeah, that's the one. The 20th...that's fast. Cool. I should be able to get you more details once it's in port. Um...why don't you send me another email when you see it has arrived.
Me: Thanks for the information.

That is hilarious!!

I've an Ice Blue Clubman on the Madame Butterfly, and so am keeping an eye on its journey. Anyone know how often the various ships report their Lat+Long once they're out of the English Channel?

The Otello has been reporting every 6 hours on the weather observation system. I don't know if that is typical.

Just saw on the OL that Big Red is en route!!! Just emailed my MA to find out what ship its on or what port it is headed to! I did run its VIN at the WW site and it had no records, so I guess its a K-Line ship.

Whee!

I think it may depend on if you're on a WW or K-Line ship.

My MINI is on a K-Line ship and using marinetraffic.com, there hasn't been an update in over three days.

Looking at the history of updates it looks like there is a seven-day hole every time it crosses the Atlantic and then it updates a couple of times/day when it is near a port.

Almost halfway through the dead period for the California Highway.

My Mini is currently on the Undine, it left Southampton on 4/1. I have this link bookmarked: http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shi...html?call=SHJC

The site shows the coordinates, then I copy and paste it into Google or Bing maps to show the location on the world map. It looks a lot better them.

My CM is still "being transported to the port of exit". How long does it take to get there!?

Marinetraffic.com uses the AIS system, which does not cover the open seas. If you look at their map and then zoom WAY OUT, you can see their coverage boxes. When your vessel enters one of those boxes you may be able to see it again.

Aha. That makes sense.

Well...it's the only one that registers anything about the California Highway. So I'll just keep refreshing until it appears again. I'm figuring on Saturday or Sunday (it's due into port in Baltimore on Sunday...)

In a way I am glad for the lack of updates....otherwise I would be updating the site every 2 hours in the vain hope that the boat suddenly sprouts another engine and zooms across the ocean

I update the site every couple of hours as it is, knowing that it won't update for a few days.

9VHF is the Madame Butterfly. Apparently she left Southampton a couple days ago....

The Otello has been updating every 6 hours.

As has the Undine (currently in port at Manzanillo). The Madame Butterfly, on the other hand, hasn't sent a report since 7:42PM on the 12th and left AIS tracking on the 13th.

I had info from ASK-MINI that my CM arrived at the port and was "handed over" to a shipper for transportation on the 14th. She had No idea what "shipper" or port or ship. It should come into NY (which is really NJ port) and I am in PA, so about 2 more weeks, I guess. "No Record" still pops up on the WW shipping page. I just have to wait it out. Boo hoo. well at least is is soon getting on a ship and is on the way.

Your MA should be able to give you that information.
