I joined the MINI club on Saturday--my best friend had come to IA to get a used car, and instead of driving all over the planet to find something in her price range that was worthwhile(sub 4k), I decided to sell her my car, and find something that was more in our price range. After doing some searching, I found a 2002 MINI Cooper for the perfect price.

One of my friends has a 2004 R50, so I've known for a long time that I love the cars, but I never thought I'd be able to find one for a price that I was willing to pay.

Since Saturday, I've spent about 1k on upgrades...

Let the addiction begin!

Save some of that money for maintenance, you wouldn't want your new friend down for the count because of poor upkeep.
