Greeting all..
Hi... I'm new to this forum and the mini-world in general! Just got a 2006 min s from a local dealer (Ok, for my daughter...!) ... I love the car.. and understand her excitement... what a great car! Ok, so now that we are progressing, I am looking to add and adapter. most likely AUX since a dedicated iPod adapter is confining... We have no owners manual and the dealer claims he has been unable to get one.. leaving me to resort to the internet... It seems to be the stock radio, no changer, no h/k feature, simply by pushing the clef note button... it only seems to go radio/cd... Is there an auxiliary option so I can get the glove box aux in jack? Or, where can I find the answer to this on this board.. thanks again!
You may be able to register the car on the Mini Owner Lounge (https://ol.miniusa.com) and then download a copy of the manual there.
Welcome to the forum. I am also new to the world of mini coopers. I got a 2006 Mini cooper S last week as a christmas present. My husband got it from a dealer that my son works for. So much fun and so much to learn.

Thanks 03mini! That is the one I've been looking at! I will look around for instructions how to remove the radio to verify before I order it.. it seems simple.. one 'hack' seems to claim that there is an easier way by simply connecting directly into the back of the radio.. as opposed, I guess, to going through the harness...
The normal Aux adapter for the Mini plugs into the rear of the radio. You can mount the Aux jack wherever you want such as glovebox, center console, or near parking brake lever. I mounted my Aux jack without the mounting plate for a cleaner look.
Here is another vendor that has the Aux adapter:

When the adapter is plugged into the radio the Aux option will be available on the radio selection.
You have to remove the two center console posts to remove the radio. It is not hard.
