Love my new Mini
Love my new Mini ( northern Va )
Hello all. I just took delivery of a new Chile red "S" and after 4 days of ownership I absloutely love it. I bought it as my commuter vehicle but I am sure that it is going to end up on the race track at some point .
I also promised myself that I would keep this car stock but after driving it for a few days I know I am not going to be able to help myself
I look forward to being part of the Mini enthusiast community and learning more about these wonderful automobiles.

Welcome aboard! I'm guessing you got a three-pedal car from your track reference & the stable in your sig (quite a set of P-cars you have there!). We love pics BTW - would love to see all four together.
MINIs are a blast to drive, especially in VA w/roads that change elevation, then zig & zag. I lived in south-central VA for three years and know miles & miles of roads that beg to be driven.
Drive 'er in good health!

I'll get some pics when the temperature gets above 30 and the wind goes below 30.
I am very happy I got the heated seats

FridayXII- same question, I'm in W Central VA and there are definitely some great roads out here (except when I have to dodge turkey buzzards and cows (both true stories). I haven't done the Blueridge Parkway yet, I've been waiting for tourist season to end so hopefully I can do that before the snow & ice returns this year.

I commuted to Roanoke each day & know that 460 woulda been a lot more fun in my MINI. There were also some small two-lane roads heading north & northwest outta Lynchburg that were twisty enough I made my ex carsick - and that was driving a 4cyl Camry

I lived in Lynchburg from '04- '07, and then I moved back to Florida. Flat, relatively straight roads...blah!
