Just bought a 2009 John cooper works mini and absolutely loving it have owned several turbo cars awd and fwd and this car is by far the most fun to drive! Going fast in a straight line is fun but I never knew a car could handle like this thing does just simply spectacular to drive! I'm looking forward to getting to know the rest of the mini owners and chatting! Talk to you all soon!

There is a MINI club here locally (www.minicci.org). I've gone on a few of little trips that the club has put on over the last few years and it's fun. They meet monthly and have dinner somewhere out around town as a group....never really done that as I'm more into driving/doing than I am eating/talking....but they seem to be a nice friendly group of people.

Be sure to read up on the MOTD event (MINIs on the Dragon). It's held annually down near Robbinsville, NC at Deals Gap (tail of the dragon) and it a huge gathering. Hundreds of MINIs....and a few classic Minis too. If you can get away for that long weekend at the beginning of May, I highly recommend going. I plan to go again this spring...will be my 4th time. Let alone the MINI drives, events, vendors, and installs, the trip is worth going just for the scenery and beautiful roads and small towns that you can explore. Welcome fellow Hoosier to the Mini Maniacs! I know how you feel when it comes to driving that new to you MINI. It is amazing how nimble this little car is. Come on down to Southern Indiana where there are some great twisty roads to drive! There is also a MINI club in Louisville/KY called Bluegrass Minis http://www.bluegrassminis.com . I am a member of BG Minis and we are planning a Drive to Leavonworth, IN on March 20th. Membership to BG Minis is free!
