Hi from MN! Newb with some questions.

Wife got a BRG 2007 turbo S yesterday. 6 speed. Figured I would get some things figured out for her.

#1) Does the "sport" botton really do anything?

#2) I found a killer deal on some Miata 4x100 snow rims/tires. Any shot in hell that they will fit?

#3) How can I tell if I have an upgraded audio system?

I'm a brand new user myself, this will be my first post actually.
But from my research.

The sport button increases electronic throttle response and bumps the boost by a bit.

An upgraded stereo will have the harmenkarden speaker grills as well as a 3 way crossover upfront. IE Lows near the floor, Mids in the door, and highs in the posts.

Atleast i believe thats the case. Im sure someone else could give you better info.

The bolt pattern is correct on the wheels. It all depends on the offset and profile of the tires. They should work nicely though.

Well after a few days...wow! Sport mode is unreal, totally transforms the car. Figured out how to get the digital speedo up so I'm not constantly speeding. Getting the hang out of the silly blinkers (that don't cancel themselves out easily).

A few more questions...

1. What kind of mainenance does this thing take. Other than oil changes that go forever, what are the other fluid intervals and spark plug intervals.

2. What's up with the run flat tires and TPMS. What happens if I swap on some winter RIMS? Can you turn off the TPMS?

3. What's up with this website? for a few days it said that it was WARNING: COULD BE DANGEROUS WEBSITE. What was up with that?

thanks for any help.

For oil changes we recommend doing them every 5kmiles.

For TPMS you'll have to put the sensors in your winter tires, or just get another set of sensors for them. You can't disable the TPMS.

You really don't have to put sensors in the winter tires, but you have to put up with a light on the dash if you don't. Good luck and welcome.

Oh, by the way, nice colour!
