Well I never heard back from my dealership (surprise) but ASK MINI tells me my baby is being assembled. Its supposed to be done tomorrow. I'll have to wait and see if that actually happens. My guess is that it will be done Saturday or Monday.

My new MCS came in to the dealership today and I will take delivery tomorrow night after work. Getting excited. The way it worked, it was one day short of 5 weeks from order to delivery. I feel remarkably lucky. To eveyone waiting, hang in there. I suspect the length of the wait will be forgotten soon after you're behind the wheel or your new MINI.

I used to have to do the SAME thing by going to the dealer just to get my fix. I love my bracket, I highly recommend getting one from gominigo!

Called ASK MINI today and was told that my car is in Status 151, which means it has entered the body shop. So finally some progress!

By the way, the owners lounge still says "scheduled for production" so obviously that doesn't update anywhere near as fast -- or at all.

I think there's a huge lag. According to what I was told, my car should have completed production today. When I called to find out, I was told it was on its way to the docks to wait for a ship.
The OL is useless. Call and get better info or call your dealer and get even better info.

Yes I've checked several times. I'm hoping to be on the Aida as well. I was also hoping to be on a ship this past Monday so I'm hoping that the car will get to the docks by the 7th.

The WW site shows your VIN? Mine's not showing there. I don't remember it showing last year until it was actually on the boat. Do you have the link you looked at?

http://www.2wglobal.com/www/WEP/index.jsp go to customer centre and then track and trace. note this site does not play nice with safari.

But yes my VIN pulled up the name of the boat and ETD to the port my minis getting off at (NY)

That's exactly where I've been looking. Mine is not booked yet- probably because its not at the docks. I'll check tomorrow, and pray. Maybe we'll be shipmates and we'll both get off in NY/NJ.

Isn't this so painful? There were days where I just wanted to give up and take something that was already built. But the wait will just make it better. You'll see.

I'm not gonna lie...the last week or so of waiting was EXCRUCIATING, but the perma-grin I've had every time I drive, and knowing that the car is JUST how I ordered it, and not having any "Y'know, I wish I could've gotten one with..." moments is just worth it's weight in gold.

Just think, you guys are almost at that point! Even you, Achilles honor! Then you'll have your new babies and have that refreshing feeling of the wait being over and everything being at peace...

Until you finish break-in, and switch into "TEAR UP THE ROADS!!!" mode!

Just broke 900 miles with it this evening on the way back from the Pogues show! Should hit 1200 on Tuesday, and on Friday I've got an appointment over at Detroit Tuned to get the post-break-in oil change and a quick once-over, and then it's time for fun!
