thaat just means its finishing production on the 8th.. it still has a long journey to go

Mine was completed on Feb 17th and is still sitting at port in the UK, so 3 weeks is not unusual. I think the trip across is 10 days or so? Then some time at the VDC, then the ride to the dealership and then the final touches by the dealer (I'm getting a clear bra done before pickup so that will add a day).
I'm guesstimating mine will be here between March 10-15th.

Based on everything I can tell, sounds about right. As you can see from my signature, my MCS was completed on 2/9 and right now I am guessing I'll take delivery somewhere around 3/10 give or take a couple days. I am sure you are anxious, but look at this way, early April in Green Bay is much nicer than March. You won't have to expose your new baby to the harsh WI winter right away.

Our MA told us 6-8 weeks, but it is going to be 11-12 weeks. ASK MINI said the factory didn't have any production during the last 2 weeks of Dec, and our production didn't start until Jan 22. It is definitely an exercise in patience. Every day is one day closer!!

Pretty much, but is was very frustrating that they did not start production until 4 weeks after we ordered (MA did not tell us or did not know about the holiday for the factory). Of course we were hoping for the "It should be here by the middle of February" statement by our MA. Our ship should get to the VDC on March 5th (although from tracking it, it looks like it is 2-3 days behind the arrival estimate) and our MA said it should arrive at the dealership about a week after that. Then some of our options are added at the dealer, so we are looking at the middle of March for pick up.

I'm not completely sure, but I think some of the production timing has to do with the alotted slots a dealership has. I ordered mine on the 4th of Feb and it went into production on the 10th and was built by the 17th. When I ordered my MA told me I'd snagged his last spot for the month. Otherwise I would have been waiting weeks just to start production, too.
Global here in Atlanta seems to do a pretty brisk business, most cars seem to move pretty quickly, which means they get a bunch of build slots I guess.
Of course, mine is finished now for over a week and still not on a ship, so some of it is luck of the draw.

my car was the first custom order for a new dealership, so my car was at the NY/NJ VDC 3 weeks after being ordered.

I ordered Jan 15, but they did not put her in the system till like Jan 17th, and I got her on the 18th of Feb.

Congrats! You were one of the lucky ones with a very fast turnaround from order to delivery. I can't imagine it could happen any faster. My new MCS Hardtop should hit American shores tomorrow in Baltimore, then it's just a matter clearing the VDC and onto the dealership.

omigoshomigoshomigoshomigoshomigosh IT'S HERE!!!!!

I can drive on down to Classic Mini and pick up my Clubbie at my earliest convenience!!

Now....I'm torn.

Februrary's APR is ok'ish... 2.9% for a 5 year, 3.9% for a 7 year...but I don't qualify for ANY of the option credits.

March is but 4 scant days away, and I might qualify for who knows what then.... or it could be worse.... but it'd mean waiting A WHOLE NUTHER WEEK!

I'm almost ready to go with a coin flip, to let quantum physics decide...It's a gamble either way. What do you guys think?

For me, the current February incentives are pretty good. I am tempted to go ahead and complete the deal even though my car won't be here for a week or two. I have the Premium Package and it would be great to tick that off the list of options I have to pay for. I suspect the March incentives will be very similar. In your situation, you can wait a few days and hope they drop the APR and eliminate the package discounts. If you can hold off a few days, it may payoff. Decisions, decisions. Good luck.

Yeah, I'm just not sure if I'll even qualify for any option credits then either...the only OPTIONS I added were heated seats and the sunroof. Everything else was a free add-on (cloth seats, the free black wheels)...I'm afraid the APR will jump up like it did from january to february...

That, and I'm practically bouncing in my seat thinking about driving it!

I had basically expected it to come in mid-week next week. It's kind of a surprise to have it available already!

And by surprise, I mean of course, "Aww crap! I hadn't cleaned out my Subaru yet!"

They never gave me a production date. They told me it'd take around 6-8 weeks after I order to get the car, and I just checked the status on the website and with the phone number myself. It took almost 3 weeks to get into production, if I recall correctly, but that was when I was only checking the website. By the time I saw anyone mention I could check the phone number, it'd already made it through production and into the paint shop.
