I'm with you there. Hubby thinks I obsess too much but I tell him I'm finally around people who are just as fanatical as me.

In the show room, over in the empty area... if you stand on the sidewalk in front of the dealership, it is on the LEFT side...farthest away from the service door. They had my car set up with balloons and streamers in front of the doors...when I drove through the little room outside through the streamers, they took pictures. Grins. We were their first custom order picked up...so we got a bit of ceremony and pictures...was really cute.

Hubby got me the bulldog, polo shirt, rubber floor mats, Rubbish! bag.

Dealer is having an event tomorrow and gave me one of the little giftbags. (2 packs of clubman gum, 2 air fresheners and 1 mug with the Mini of Mount Laurel and MINI wings logo.)

 

A single tear came down my cheek when I heard that story.. I just want my mini now!! :,(

I just called the ASK MINI line and got an estimated completion date of March 8. Anyone know how accurate those estimation dates usually are?

 

If you read the thread about how to track your MINI, you'll see that production usually takes about 8 days total. I think they are overestimating your date of completion. They told me March 4th but they started production this week. I'm sure it will be finished before then and I'm sure yours will be finished before March 8. Now all we can do is

You haven't put that many miles on it yet.. My first day I'm going on a road trip

 

I wanted to head on a road trip, but we took her home friday and all the neighbors were oggling her. That was fun. Then Saturday, I had some local errands to run, so I got a few miles on her....but nothing big.

I have work tomorrow - I only drive 7 miles each way, but I'm sure I'll be going on multiple coffee runs with coworkers so people can check her out. Next weekend I'm heading out to Oxford, PA and also Northeast Phila, so she will have a few hundred soon...

She will be a low mileage pampered baby till the summer, when we will most likely take her to Baltimore....but she really will be a short hop girl mostly.

 

Yay the first ime I get my baby. Were going up to new York and then a track just so I can get the urge of top speeding her on the street out of me right in the begining

Just opicked up my new baby from Motorwerks MINI in Minnesota on Saturday Feb.19th, 2011- a date which will live forever for me!! I could not be more in love with her if I tried. She is all I dreamed of and more. Now, if only spring would come!!

No I haven't gotten mine yet. Mine is somewhere in production but I'm not exactly sure where. I'm not very patient so I'll have to find something to take my mind off all this.

 

As the Tom Petty song goes, "the waiting is the hardest part."

Do you know if it has gone into production? Mine went really fast once it hit production. It started production 1/24/11 and 7 days later it was on a ship!

Yes it went into production on the 16th. By normal production schedules, it should be close to done. ASK MINI is telling me it doesn't even look like its in the body shop yet. I have a completion date of 3/4. It just seems like its way too long to me.

Uh mine is a trade. I don't know exactly when the order went in. It's been a very long process.
