I am pretty sure you get the free option regardless. MINI USA is hurting big time right now.
I am fairly certain that you must finance through MINI/BMW Finance to get the option package also. Even if you have the cash, at 0.9%, why wouldn't you go ahead and finance and invest the cash. Pretty much a "no brainer" unless you're completely adverse to using credit in any form.

Was the Countryman again excluded from these special offers?
EDIT: fine print says Countryman is NOT included. We will see what next month says...

Just an FYI, I still haven't heard back from my dealership. However, I called ASK MINI early this morning and its seems my MINI has finally moved into the body shop. They still say it will be done on the 4th which is Friday. Somehow I don't buy it but I guess we'll see what happens.
sekhmet101, I have found that ASKMINI is very accurate regarding the build info. All 3 of ours were finished in the paint shop the day they said. Transport is another matter, but as they are dealing with 2 shipping lines that have tons of cars to move I'm generally impressed that they can keep up with what car is where.

i lucked out, was ready to order my car when we went to the dealer, and there he was sitting in the show room
only thing he had the cold weather package which we didnt really care for, but everything else was there...

though...that IS a few grand that could've gone to MORE MODS!!
I called my MA today, and here's what he told me: "This is that uncertain/waiting period I was talking about. We are still waiting to be grabbed into production. It has an estimated for late this week/early next week, so not too much longer. Once it is in production then everything is seamless. So we are still on schedule with everything."
At the start, he said 6-8 weeks, which probably puts me at some time in early April. I sure hope the APR and option credits last another month.
