Not a new member or even a new MINI owner...

Hey there,

I decided I needed to post something on here as I've been lurking for the past few months on and off...

I've had my MCS since January 30th and only recently was he named, James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser... yes all of that! He's a first MINI and now I wish I would have purchased one years ago. I've had faster cars, more expensive cars, but none more fun.

Less than 24 hours after purchase I was on a drive with the local club, Dynamic MiNi Collective, 125 miles of driving pleasure. Fast forward a couple of weeks to an early morning drive to work at five AM... a misguided dog decided he needed to run into the side of my brand new car ... no I had not made a payment yet. A week and a half and $1200.00 worth of damages later we were back together again . There have been a lot more nice drives and experiences over the past few months as well. I've met an awful lot of MINI people too. Today MTTS is arriving in Phoenix so thats another event to attend...

I really hope they have a Coupe included as it's got my interest.

Glad I finally found a fun car...

Hugh

Welcome to the Forum Hugh, did you join up with the MTTS, I don't remember seeing you in Cedar City or SLC? They ran the Salt Flats today, wide open as fast as you can go, what a thrill.

Nice looking car but what an awfully long name! Does the name have family or heritage significance? I couldn't even figure out a good acronym from the initials (but that could just be me). But again, great looking little person!

Could not attend MTTS, this time... but next time may be different. I did go to the Phoenix event though... not all that impressed with the new Countryman, two doors too many for my taste.

A lady friend of mine actually came up with the name, and it stuck. I look forward to going anyplace now.

Poor dog, he must've been trying to make friends with your car in an instantly-appearing-Sperm Whale-meets-a-fast-approaching-alien planet sort of way (dogs and MINIs are both very adorable & well liked, it's an unmitigated fact and completely understandable). I'm gonna pretend he survived. Welcome and might I say, I have seen Spanish Princes with shorter names! Gotta give you points for creativity! Enjoy the drive.

Ouch, hopefully it wasn't a St. Bernard from Castle Rock. Very nice looking MINI!
