About to take delivery on my 1st Mini. My new S convertible is supposed to be delivered tomorrow!!! I live in VA, but got the car from a dealer in North Carolina. "They" wanted to have an employee just drive it up to me (4-5 hours!!), but I said "hell no!" I dont want some employee driving my car during the break-in period - plus I'll get it with like 350 miles on it - NO WAY! They relented and are now having it brought up on a flat bed truck.. I'll keep everyone updated! Wooo Hooo! Im kind of a car nut, so have had lots of cars. I traded an '09 Mercedes SL 550 for my new mini!! I really have always loved the look of the Mini, so took the plunge for the car I have wanted for awhile... I love convertibles and I think this is one of the coolest on the market. Can't wait!!!

You could have put the 350 miles on it! 4-5 hours in your new car would give a great chance (excuse!) to get to know it better!

I was gonna drive down, but I was having a hard time finding someone to drive me down and then follow me back. My friends or employees hard a hard time with 8/10 hours of driving!!!! I wanted to do it - ahahahaha!!!! Im really excited.. Also, I got the Bluetooth/Ipod/USB adapter (6ND) - can you tell me if that is going to allow me to use my cell phone (Iphone 3GS) through the "system" hands free? Is that what that is for, and how does it work/connect? I didnt get the arm rest adaptor thinga majigy..

Congrats and welcome to the family. Smart man to go from the Mercedes to the MINI...I had an SLK 320 and have to say it was the worst...but LOVE my MINI and LOVE the MINI family! Here's wishing you many years of fun & motoring excitement!!!

 

Can someone help me out? I have the 6nd option - what's with the iPhone prep option I read about also? Is iPhone going to work as a cellphone through my system (bluetooth) as well the music function through my iPhone into the system? Also will it charge? I'm really confused
