Just joined the forum. I am awaiting the arrival of my 2010 Mini Cooper Mayfair in "Hot Chocolate" any day now! I used the information in this forum to track my car's voyage across the Atlantic on the "Elektra". It docked in Halifax on Monday, May 10th and is now (hopefully) on it's way to my dealer's lot in Ottawa within the week. Will post some photos of my new baby when I pick her up! Cheers!

Congrats on the Mayfair! It's a beauty! My S Camden is patiently waiting for me on Elite's lot. I visited it twice already (since it arrived from Montreal earlier this week). Taking delivery TONIGHT!!!

Thanks all. Good to know that there are so many Mini enthusiasts out there. Hope to participate in the Mini Club of Ottawa when my CHOC MINI finally arrives. My custom plates are sitting here waiting to be mounted and our dog, a 2yr. old chocolate lab, is eagerly awaiting his first ride in the hot little car that matches him!

I saw a chocolate Mayfair sitting on Elite's lot tonight when I picked up my Camden. Is yours an S or not? (This one was a "Cooper", non S).

Funny that your dog will match your car, cause I think mine will look pretty swell in my White Silver/Black roof Camden! I have an Australian Shepherd and she's mainly various shades of grey, black and white!

 

It's as important to have a dog that looks good in your Mini as it is to have a Mini that looks good to your dog! ...and I know that my chocolate lab will LOVE my hot chocolate Mayfair!

 

Woohoo to Lili! Great pics in your gallery, looks like there were quite a few new Minis on the lot! Thanks for turning up the stress for us still waiting!

Mine is a non S. Chocolate with a black roof. I also opted for the bi-xenon headlights. They sold one or two chocolates that they already had in stock, just before I ordered mine (an "s" and a non "s".) It may be one of those vehicles...or perhaps I should just take a drive by the lot to be sure!

Shoot! Can't recall if the one I saw had a white or black roof... Leaning towards black... Who's your sales rep? Keith? Sean? Call him, or yes, go take a walk on the lot. That's what I did - twice - this week! Simply bring (or memorize) your VIN number, and that way, you'll be sure if it's yours or not!

 

Well I'm not getting a Mayfair but my dog will match my MINI. The funny thing is when we tried to get her to pick the color, she did choose black. I guess she wanted the car to match her.

If ChocMINI's car is already on the lot, then something happened to my car 'cause they are making the trip together... you didn't happen to see a black Cooper S convertible eh?

 

Don't panic folks. I'm sure that all of our cars will arrive safe and sound.....eventually! I'll e-mail Keith, my sales rep. I'd be surprised if my car is on the lot already since it only arrived in Halifax on Monday.

 

Update! Just spoke to Keith. The Choc Mayfair on the lot is not mine.

 

...and mine shows-up as being on a train.. somewhere between Halifax and Montreal. ETA for Ottawa is now May 19th....

I had seen one of these at the 2010 GMAS and it was absolutely stunning.

I'm a Camden owner also...but seems as though I'm not alone posting over here.

 

Dede & Chocmini.... My experience last month was that the train arrived in Montreal on the 15th and was trucked to Ottawa the SAME DAY! I got a call from the dealer on the 16th at lunchtime telling me that they had arrived the day before. I arranged pickup the following week.

Hopefully your cars will arrive in Ottawa by the 19th and you may just get them before next wekeend!

P.S. My car travelled on the Elektra as well .... Good ship that Elektra. Does a great job.
