Picking up my new ride Friday

2010 S Convertible and I am very excited!!!

I started looking around on the web for aftermarket parts, don't even have the car yet and I can't wait to start tinkering. I am curious though, for everything I have read, the 2010 is pretty much identical to the 2009.

I would ask anyone reading this to verify this is indeed an R57 so I make sure my aftermarket shopping is for the correct components It seems there is a great deal of commonality between a R56 and an R57 as well.

Also, if anyone has a tuning shop recommendation in the greater Denver area, I would welcome the input.

Good to be here,
Frank

Welcome to the site! Yep, the Mk II cabriolets are indeed R57's. Here's a cool cheat sheet that I'm trying to commit to memory.

Welcome to the forum, a typical reaction from a lot of guys, start shopping for mods before they have the car, always nice to be ready!

Lol, indeed. I think my bark is greater than my bite in this regard. Moved states a little while ago and all my tools stayed behind. Give me a few months to rebuild (literally need a new garage) and then I'll be off to the races. But in the meantime, I get the impression there are some smaller things I can do to rattle the window panes.

T minus 36 hours (estimated) ... ugg, this is killing me

This is one of my favorite quotes, and it will definitely apply to you, as of tomorrow when you actually have your Mini; it is by Lewis Carroll,
“I could tell you my adventures—beginning from this morning," said Alice a little timidly: "but it's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then." Nice. Please share what you end up doing. I love my convertible but haven't changed a thing except for adding the strut brace so I'd like to hear about your mods. Good Luck.
