Great resource, biggripper, job well done.

...and it's Solar Red, not grey...you were tired at that point, eh?

having been on the board a while now thats all pretty much self explanatory but it would have been a HUGE help when i first got here to know what everyone was talking about. Maybe make this a sticky in the 1st gear forum?

I agree with soofle, this would be a great sticky for the 1st gear forum! Perhaps, in addition to colors, we could also add all the abbreviations we use for the other "amenities" on our cars. Even after three years of MINI, I still get corn-fused sometimes!

I think you may be thinking of the VR. It has brown hilights in some light, Maroon on others, all in all a very nice color. I thought it was a sure thing for the Va Tech crowd.

Most people have been using

MCC for MC cabrio rather than MCc or
MCSC for MCS cabrio rather than MCSc

What about CVT for the automatic continuously variable transmission for the MC? MC CVT?

LSD for Limited slip differential? (this is first gear)

What about Cosmos Black? CoB?

For Silk Green how about SiG
maybe SG for Solid Gold.

Good thing we don't have turbo or twin charged from the factory.

Since we're at it, it's spelled: CONVERTIBLE, not CONVERTABLE.

Thanks for the effort in putting a list together

Personally, I think DS belonged on the list twice - but that's just my opinion.
We're waiting to order an '06 MCSa, the wife originally wanted CR/B, then thought CR/W was the way to go, but I'm pressing for SB/S or SR/S. Suhweet!!!

And that's no BS. . .

I tried to make changes based on suggestions so far. Reload the page and see.

I for the life of me do not see DS in the list twice. I do however see that it is right underneathe PS...a very different color.

Royal Grey is one of the new colors for '06

Before they finalized the color names, here's what they were referred to by MINI USA:

Cosmos Black ...... New Moon
Solid Black .......... Tux
Electric Blue ........ Iceberg
Indi Blue ............. Cloud 9
Solid Gold ........... Jackpot
Silk Green ........... Oasis
Chili Red ............. Gotcha
Velvet Red .......... Burnin' Rootbeer
Pure Silver .......... Coin
Dark Silver .......... Haze
Pepper White ....... Nougat
Liquid Yellow ........ Nacho

British Racing Green was always BRG.

Why not alphabetize them? (My librarian side is showing.)

Also, maybe list the years available:

IB = Indi Blue (2002-2004)

Note that it is spelled Indi Blue (not Indy Blue).

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure Cosmos Black was an MC color only.

Thank You!!

I have not been on here for very long and I have slowly been picking up all the lingo and jargon...but one that did throw me off for a while was MFSW (Multi-Function Steering Wheel) so that would be a great addition. Also this was a great idea, and thanks!
