New '03 MCS owner - WA state

Just bought a '03 Mini Cooper S, 6 speed, 73k, cloth seats, xenon, no sunroof.

Loving it so far. Long time BMW owner and happily converted to Mini owner. Hope they are just as reliable and fun to drive.

Pictured here with snow wheels/tires.

Like the wheels, sure you will have a lot of fun with the MINI. I like the look on the faces of other drivers when you pull away quickly from a light, "what is that thing" seems to be the facial expression.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm not sold on the snow wheels yet, but they might grow on me. I prefer a BBS style wheel.

BTW, the wheels pictured are by Sport Max Racing. Past owner said that they are lighter than the stock wheels.

Few questions now that I have had the Mini for a few weeks.

My summer tires on the stock 17 inch wheels are near bald so I know I'm going to need new tires come spring. I'm considering swapping for some non run-flat wheels/tires. Is it common to get rid of the run flats?

Suuuuuper common to ditch the runflats. Some people carry a can of fix-a-flat and others (like me) carry a MINI mobility system which incorporates a compressor and a can of fixaflat to air up the tire. Do it! The ride is much better without runflats.
