It will be my daily driver, but she may want/need to drive it occasionally instead of her 2003 CR-V.

We disagree on a few options, she wants Automatic Trans, Laser Blue w/body-color roof and no stripes.

If I may make a suggestion, get the convenience package. You're already getting comfort access and bluetooth, the whole package isn't much more. It's worth it for auto wipers, lights, garage door opener, and auto dimming rear view mirror. There is no intermittent setting on the wipers if you don't get auto, which to me is inexcuseable on a modern car.

 

So we went to Morristown Mini yesterday to see what they had on the lot and take a test drive. I'd been there earlier in the week and spoken to Dave for a few minutes, just looking around and checking out the dealership as much as the cars.

The wife and I decided that we'd rather go with one of the well-equipped '09 demo models that had all the options we want. Dave negotiated a very good deal with us, and we wound up paying $6k under the original MSRP(!).

Later today we'll be taking delivery of an '09 CR/CR MCS with Auto, Premium, Sport w/17" webspoke, Cold Weather, Convenience, Piano Black w/Rooster Red and Chrome Line interior, Chrome Line exterior, and Rear Fog Lights.

My wife, the negotiator, was even able to get them to throw in the Extended and Tire/Wheel Warranties, as well as the usual mats and sport stripes.

 

I guess you'll be driving the CRV...
