Thanks!
No...still working on a name...suggestions welcome!!! The ones I came up with before he arrived just don't fit.
Actually, I'm not really sure what a bungalow is....that's a classic New Orleans Shotgun house, built in the Arts&Crafts phase of American home building (1910's to 1930's). The thing that might look like a second story isn't--it's actually my neighbor's roof corner.
Cheers.

Well, cajun-y, hrm...the one that comes to mind I like is Booray (it's a cajun card game, I think)...or Caimon (Cajun for alligator).
Booray is really cute....I think I'm leaning towards that.

OK his name is Booray Caimon. Lots of nickname potential there.
"My little Boo" ("sweetheart" in cajun...think beaux)
"Mr. Cai", "Le Caiman", etc.
OMG...THANKS SO MUCH!!! It's all clear now.

Yes, that's correct. The original design of this house was a double with four rooms back to back to back...front door to rear door was a straight shot. In fact, the original floor plan probably looked like a double-barrel shotgun. LOL
It's been renovated with a more modern floor plan, but many of the original architectural beauties are preserved.
I love classic grace; the MINI is the perfect car for this town--cool, quirky, spunky, stylish.

The pic of your house helped!
Of course, my first thought upon reading Jethro *was* Jethro Tull, rather than Bodine, but not *that* Jethro Tull.
Gorgeous and so original! Love the one offset bonnet stripe as well as seeing another fan of the chrome! Those mirror caps, to me, just say "Yeah, check ME out!"
Still. Painfully. Waiting. I had just a little, itsy-bitsy glimmer of hope my MINI would be in my hands tomorrow, but who knows where the little guy is. Apparently still in CA waiting for a truck. Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll get a call today saying he showed up.
What did everyone's order status say through the OL when you got your MINI's? Mine says at the VDC with an estimated delivery of 11/9.

On the day that I was *supposed* to get my MINI, the OL still listed my car as being at the VDC, but the vehicle details gave an ETA of 10/29. It updated the next day to say "At the Dealership" and changed the ETA to 10/30 but, of course, due to the weird truck driver situation I didn't actually receive my car until 11/3.
Hi Everyone! I've been watching this website for a while, but this is my first post. My 2010 Mini Cooper was on the Turandot, and I've been watching the OL website for updates. It currently says it's at the VDC, but it also says that the estimated delivery date is 11/5! I realize that they could both be wrong, but I am so excited to think that my Mini might just be in Utah with me! Now I'm just anxious to get the call saying "come pick it up!"

I just heard from my dealer. It is scheduled to arrive on Sunday, when they aren't there. I have some dealer installed accessories, so that's scheduled on Tuesday, so I can take delivery on Wednesday! I think it's going to be the longest five days of my life!
Hmmm...Maybe our cars will be on the same truck. Drop off in Utah then off to Denver. Sounds logical.
That would be awesome! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you get it shortly after mine arrives.

Rod is my MA too- very low pressure and low key. I was looking at a Clubman on the lot, but they all had Brech installed Lojack and that Permaplate treatment, -snip-
And I head towards Valley View (and beyond) every day! I live at the base of Palomar Mountain, off the 76, which is what got me looking at MINI's in the first place. Since I drive those roads anyway, why not have fun doing it?
Here's hoping for early delivery!

I sort of freaked Rod out. My wife and I were test driving an MCS. I already had made the deal but I wanted to drive a Mini again. They only had automatics left to demo. SO...we're driving around that circuit with Rod in the back seat. As I approached the last light before turning into the lot, the light turns orange. I reached with my left foot to engage the clutch to down shift and SKREEECH!!! The car comes to an almost instantaneous stop. Oooops. I usually drive a stick shift. This was an automatic. No clutch pedal. Brake pedal! I had accidentally tested that extra braking force feature! (If the car senses an unusually firm brake pedal depression, it adds extra pressure above the normal amount to the brakes to facilitate a panic stop.)
Yes! That feature seems to work. Rod was in the back seat. Luckily he was wearing a seat belt. He is low pressure but he perked up after that.
