I finally ordered a Mini Cooper S today. I received week 41 production slot with the new Harman/kardon sound system. expected delivery is late November..

here are the specs:

Very similar options...just a different model.

 

Ordered ours originally 8/8/09 and final ordered 9/12/09 when it became apparent that the KH's were to become available before December.

MCS, Sparkling Silver, Convenience, Cold Weather ,Premium, 17" Black Crown Spoke wheels, LSD, Alarm, Chrome line interior, Color line dark grey, Black punch leather, Anthracite headliner, Piano black, Center armrest, Xenon headlights, white t/signals, HD radio....what the heck, kitchen sink

 

I think this makes my fourth "Support Group" now. :P

Ordered mine 7/24 with the H/K stereo. I initially had Week 36 production, but production didn't start. Didn't start Week 37, either, despite having removed the H/K code from my build. Then I heard that the H/K would be available after all, so I added it back to my order and am scheduled for week 41. Here's hoping this one's the real week!

I just got my production date 09/24/2009. I order mine on 9/14/2009. Is it the completion date. If it does that would be awsome!! I am sick of renting a car.....:(

I cancelled my order, 3 days after it got on a ship scheduled to arrive in California on Oct. 5th.

I've reordered with the HK... now waiting for production week 41... ugh.

looks like some people are canceling their initial orders and reordering with the H/K sound system. when I was at the dealer I checked out the standard and HIFI sound systems on 09 models. standard was really weak and HIFI was only slightly better.

I hope H/K does not disappoint....

 

I hope HK doesn't as well. In the convertible, I found the difference to be a bit more pronounced (power output with the added wind noise?).

At the very least, however, there should be less to replace/add ("speakers" vs. "amp+speakers+wiring+pillar trim").

I hope they do it well enough that even the speaker replacement wont be necessary (hey, I can dream, right?).

My mini is booked and ready to ship today. He made it on time. My mini comes faster than i expected. So how about you guys? any good news to share?

 

no news, still waiting for the week 41 production to start. ASK-MINI indicates that it is scheduled for production with no confirmed production date yet.

 

Well, I guess I'm a week 40 build and not a 39. My MA emailed me today and said I had a completion date of October 1, next Thursday. Yay!

 

I wasn't expecting too much this week, but when Ron Avery posted in another thread that his JCW had gone into production a couple of weeks early, I figured I'd give it a shot.

Called 866-ASK-MINI and my Sriracha went into production at 7 a.m. this morning!!!!

Maybe a few others' are in the earlier production; Third Wave, I'm betting your chances are pretty good. *fingers crossed*

 

Lucky you!!!!! I still don't have an official production date but my salesperson tells me week 41. Just keep on waiting.....

 

I decided to make the call too,... mine started production at 6:45 this morning

Ask MINI tells me I started production on Friday 9/25. I called my MA's manager and he was concerned. He is still being told no HK till 41 or 42. "We'll just build you another one if this one doesn't work out."

Hopefully they will build our cars to order and I can begin "motoring."

By the way, my first car (minus the HK) is being delivered to my dealer tomorrow. I should go and see the car I gave up for adoption.

So I am now a week 39 or 40 depending on how you look at it. I'm out of the week 41 support group for now.

 

I just called ASK MINI and now their system says my vehicle has started production with an estimated completion date of 10/7/09. Yesterday it said it had not been scheduled for production, so this is good news. My MA said 10/1 but who knows. I just can't wait!

 

i think I am now in week 40. ASK MINI states that production started for my mini on 9/28 with an estimated completion date of 10/6.

Figure that since there's no Wk 42 group to mill around in, I'll hang out with y'all. Just like when I was a junior in high school, it's going to suck when I don't graduate with my friends. Oh well, c'est la vie...

Has anyone heard what the APRs through Mini Finance/BMW will be for the 2010s? We're still waiting, and sick of hearing about the deals on '09s on the radio...!

 

Oops, wrong week!

So this post isn't useless, I haven't heard too much on the APRs, though I've generally just heard skepticism that there will be any "deals" on the '10 model financing. I'm definitely in the same boat on the "Yeah, yeah, 09, whatever, let's get to the '10s!"
