I have seen numerous pictures of Minis under car cover at the dealer. I have also seen a picture of a display stand next to the car with the purchaser's name.

Does the dealer do an unveiling of the car for people who ordered their car? If so, how does the process work?

I have a friend who has a Clubman on order. If there is an unveiling, I won't tell her. I'll let her be surprised when it happens.

 

Every dealer is different. If you want to do it call the MA and tell them you want to do it. I'm sure they wouldnt have an issue with it.

 

there is no hard and fast rule on this one. Here in the SF bay area, I haven't heard of this for years....

I've not seen an unveiling here, just the MINI in the centre of the showroom with note saying he's taken.

 

My MA unveiled my ordered car.

 

My MA just had mine parked in the delivery bay with my stock parts all around it. (Had some stuff installed at the dealer pre-delivery.) It was nice turning the corner, and looking down the steps to see my MINI waiting for me to take it away.

 

Our MINI was parked in the garage below the dealership with other MINIs that were either being delivered or ones the dealer had for sale. Out of the elements was a good thing. I wouldn't have minded a BIG Red Bow on the car!! I did order her on My Birthday, but had to wait 2 mo. to take Delivery.

 

Our mini was in the middle of the showroom and had a big note on the window that read "Jim & Kathy will be taking me to my new home today." That was so awesome! We both got tears in our eyes, very exciting. Enjoy your
