Hello Everyone - Last night I pulled the trigger and ordered my new Cooper S Convertible in Horizon Blue with tan interior. I got the cold package and the convenience package plus automatic transmission. Now I am spending my time reading here on NAM while I wait for my MA to give me a production number. What can I do to make the time go faster?

 

Sounds too cool! congrats on the new ride Oh! there is no way to make the time go faster, mine has been on order for a month.... oh no, wait it's only been a week, my bad

In all seriousness, keep us all posted with your status from the Owner's Lounge once you get that Production Number. Not only is it nice to share your progress, but it also helps others gauge exactly where their orders are along the line. I ordered my MC on 5/8 and Ask MINI told me I was due for production the first week of June, Week 23. I'm guessing you should be in the same time frame. Make sure you stop by the Week 23 Support Group once you find out.

Nice color scheme btw. HzB is definitely a different color in person than on the computer screen, but I just love the dark exterior/light interior combination. If I hadn't fallen in love with Redwood Lounge, Tuscan Beige would totally be my next choice. Black or white roof?

 

Congratulations on your order--sounds dreamy. I still remember the smile plastered on my face after I ordered. It only gets better.

As for what to do with your time, make good use of the search feature in the upper right and get all your chores done, 'cuz once the MINI gets here, you won't want to do anything else.

Thanks! Since it is a convertible the top choices are black, hot chocolate or denim. We went with the black top but were this close to the denim. At the last minute we went with black.

I got the Production Number last night. I don't know which week that puts me in. Tracking my Mini shows that it is "on order" but the details about the car are not correct. My MA said not to worry because the initial order info is almost always wrong. He said give it a few days and it will correct itself. I'm not worried.

 

Congrats! Horizon Blue is definitely a nice color...I almost went with it, actually, but I had my heart set on a Laser Blue hardtop. I just ordered my Mini a week or so ago, and it took about three days for the Owner's Lounge configuration info to update correctly. Good luck tracking your Mini!! I'm sure you're excited!

 

Just an update, I now have a VIN and I am scheduled to be completed on May 28th. The information in the Owner's Lounge is now 100% correct.
