Impossible to say with any degree of certainty without seeing the car firsthand. But just off the info provided, appears to be a bit high for that year/mileage/options.

Offer $8K and see if they bite.

Wow, compared to here that's quite a steal. Typically a 2004 would go for between 16k and 19k depending on options, and an S could top 20K. Whoo Canada...

Where do you live Firemansal? That seems high to me, I just saw an 04 MCS for sale for 10,000 in Burnet, Texas. I don't know about options and mileage though, but I could try to find out. It was mellow yellow with black racing stripes. Looked real clean on the outside.

That is great. I don't know the name of the car lot, but it is located on South 281 as you drive through the town, can't miss it. I think the car was priced at 10,000 to 10,500, but I have gone through Burnet about a month ago and just recently two weeks ago and the car is still there so they may come down. Don't really know much about it except that I checked it out both times we drove by. Looked nice, but I wish I had more details. May be worth a short drive for you. Hope that helped and good luck in your search.

If I can help you out in some way, let me know. I am possibly going through Burnet again this Sunday and if my plans work out, I will stop and get a better idea about the car for you. I just don't know for sure if I am making the trip just yet.

Have you checked the Carfax...? Checked the car for any hints of past damage? I know that if I would have inspected my car more closely before I bought it, I could have saved a grand I'm sure... it needed new rear brakes, and a past collision with the curb (apparently) resulted in a shoddy paint job on the passenger-side of the rear bumper... ...oh well, I really wanted the car, and still love it... no regrets.
