If I bought an R56 MCS I'd be looking into putting an MC bonnet/hood on it.

 

It does let some air in primarily to assist w/ cooling.

 

I think my wifes has 3 clear openings. I remember looking at it and not all of the spaces are open. Seems to be just a few.

So far my wifes car has had no problems with the hood scoop problem that others have had. Of course she does not drive the car like I would drive it.
I did tell her to let the engine idle for a 10 or 20 seconds before turning off the engine just to give it a chance to cool. (I don't think she does it. LOL) It probably acts as a vent for the hot air to escape.

I went for the loaded MC (Convenience package, auto tranny,etc) and I couldn't be happier. :D

 

Well one could make it functional if they so desired.
