Hi! I did a search for Week 42, but nothing came up. Is anyone else a Week 42 Build?

The dealership has told me that I was an "early week 42 build." It got on the boat a little over a week ago and is scheduled to arrive in Brunswick, Georgia on Nov. 4th. From that point, it is estimated to take about 4-5 days to reach the dealership in Palm Harbor, Florida.

I asked for a VIN number and was told that the dealer gets some sort of a partial VIN until it arrives- where in the process the full VIN is issued, I don't know.

I think my MA is fairly new and is trying his best to get me info, but isn't one of the folks that knows how to tap into the more obscure resources.

At any rate, the VIN he was able to give me starts with TX and is followed by five digits. The ETA that it will arrive at the dealer is November 10th.

I've got a chili red Clubman coming in with a silver roof and rear trim. I've got the Sirius and Ipod/Bluetooth coming in on it too.

If anyone can tell me any more about the VIN and tracking that would be great. I tried following the very detailed thread on tracking, but the short VIN that I was able to get didn't bring anything up, and I absolutely know it is en route, so maybe I just need to be patient.....

Any ideas? Any other week 42 people out there?

I'm a week 42 build too. My Laser Blue MCS was built (born) October 16th.. Its coming to Oregon so from what I've read its on the K-line and no way to track like the East coast folks with WM

If you have an order number which your MA should have given you, you can log onto the Miniusa owner's lounge and it gives you the VIN.

Good luck .. Your wait is almost done I still have 3 weeks or more...

 

Ooh- the Laser Blue is my favorite Mini color!! Not available for the Clubman, and I really need the extra room, so I went with the Chili Red.

I can log into the Owner's Lounge and I do see that my vehicle is listed "en route" there, but where the heck do you find the VIN #? I can't seem to locate it.

YAY! Thanks to the little nudge from bugabugirl, I started clicking on anything and everything in the Owner's Lounge and eventually found my VIN!

I was then able to enter it into the WW site, and found out that my Clubman is on the Toledo, which left Southampton on 10/24 and is scheduled to leave NY today and sail on to Baltimore. It then goes to Charleston, SC and finally ends up in Brunswick, GA on 11/6. I hope, hope, hope that we get it by the 10th.

My hubby and I are sharing one car until my Mini gets here.

The wait is killing me!

 

I ordered mine on October 18. My MA told me I was a week 42 and to expect my MINI S (chili red w/ white top) to arrive the 3rd week of November.

It was built a few days ago and now is waiting transportation. I am thinking she got mixed up and I am really week 43. Anyway, it is built!! Also, I will have to log back into the owner's lounge and find my VIN, which I hadn't received yet.

 

I had a lot of trouble finding my VIN, but if you log into the Owner's Lounge, it is located in the Service Log. (Owners Lounge/then My Mini/then Service Log).

If you follow the post in Ist Gear about how to track your Mini, you can find out what is going on once it is loaded on a boat.

It depends on where you are in the US, but if you are in the Eastern US, you will be able to track your Mini quite well. The WW link in the above-referenced thread will tell you the exact location .

My MIni just left NY and is en route to Baltimore.

My Mini is right on schedule- arriving on Charleston, SC today on the Toledo I'll be sure to have my sister say hi
Funny thing is, her first long road trip will be from Florida to Charleston over Thanksgiving...

But Lulu will be staying on the ship today and continuing her travels to Brunswick, GA, where our regional distribution center for Florida is located.

She gets to leave the ship tomorrow!!

Then hopefully, if all goes well, I will get to pick her up early next week, once she has arrived at the dealer.

I'm excited!!

Not only will I get my cute new gas-sipping Mini, but I can stop sharing a car with my husband. He had to turn in his leased vehicle and we've been making go through the wait for Lulu.

My mini will be a HUGE improvement over the Mercury Mountaineer I have been driving, which averages 16.1 mpg.

PS--- I am so excited about our new Prez!! YAY!!!!!

 

I order my Chili Red/White MCS on oct 2 think was built by oct 16 awaiting transport till oct 29 can't find out what ship on ww thing (never comes up with my vin entered) MA told me sat that it should be in port like the 6th or 7th. Then its off to midwest from there. Said I should have it by middle of Nov. Can't hardly wait much longer.

I just got word from my MA, my mini is set to dock in California November 17th, & then 5 - 10 days after that.... I need to sell my 06 MCS... I'm so excited.... ...

 

TODAY IS THE DAY!!! I finally can go pick up my Chili red with silver Clubman!

The wait has just about killed me because for part of the time, my husband and I have been sharing a vehicle--- very hard to do!

I have an appointment at 11:30 today and go and pick her up. My daughter wants to call her Lulu, so I am thinking Little Lulu like the vintage comic book character. She always wore a red dress.....now all I need is a Little Lulu bobble head figure for the dash (just kidding!!)

 

Well my MINI is at the dealer. Came in late 11/13 called me friday afternoon to tell me it was there but they didn't have my roof stripes yet, so it will be early next week. Told me I could come down and take for a spin. You would think that they could have gotten the stripes there before the car with 6 weeks since ordered and it has been showing enroute for 2 1/2 weeks. Wait is almost over. Weather is crappy this weekend anyhow.

My MA called me yesterday and told me that the guy who does the window tinting can't get mine done before delivery, but that I can bring it back in this coming week and they will do it after delivery and give me a loaner while it's happening. That is fine with me.....

I am desperately trying to find the thread that shows the list of things to be sure and check when you take delivery on the vehicle.

Does anyone know where it is?

I have been going round and round trying to figure a name out. First thought was "sir Robin" or "Flopsy", latest thought is "Speck", I like stupid humor stuff.

 

I'm just excited... He's in town but getting his added beauty marks (Sport striping, clear masking, mud flaps)

I've already named my guy "Crusher" ...

I didn't think I would name him, but it just came to me. LOL... Its funny my 2006 Mini I never did name... He's been a great car. I will miss him. I don't know why I decided to name this one.

You'll have to let me know what you come up with for him. I like Speck & Sir Robin.

So have you have been enjoying him? Anything you would have changed or has he been all you have wanted.
