I'm convinced the OL is never right. I have a VIN, and production has begun, and it's supposed to be completed on 9/17 according to ASKMINI.

However, the OL says it's still on order with no production date. It does have the car alarm that we added just this past Monday. So, if the order specs are right online, why doesn't the production date appear?

On the other hand, if what the ASKMINI line says is true, who am I to complain.

Finally! I now have a VIN and a completion date of 9/18!! I knew if I went to see Vampire Weekend last night and sang the song 'Oxford Comma' really loudly this would happen

 

Well my MA told me that I was going to be week 38 build but still no freaking VIN or update on the owners lounge. Think I am going to have to take control of the crackpipe for a couple of strong hits....COUGH COUGH. Ahh much better. Now to go and make that phone call...

 

DANG IT! I was holding out so that when I called I HOPED that there would be good news. Boy was I mistaken. Still waiting for production line. Really sucks. I guess the only good thing is that my current car still needs to be sold which is taking more of thought process than Adele is. Back to the Crack I guess

 

I also gave in a called - still week 38, no specific date. My old car sold in 24 hours (who would've thought??) so I'm sharing with my husband until my Clubman comes in...

 

I'm a week 38'er too! Congratulations to all the new MINI parents. I had an 08 MCS Chilli Red/White but she got taken out by a jealous Infiniti that thought her back side was too sexy for the highway. <sigh> Now I'm (not so patiently) waiting for an 09 MCClubman, Pepper White, Premium Package, Sport Seats, White turn signals, pretty basic. Hope I don't regret going a little more plain on this one. I digress. Look forward to seeing some progress as we go into our birth-week 9/14!!!

Meh! Still scheduled for production with no specific date, according to the automated crackpipe. I know, I know, it will get here when it gets here and not one minute before.

 

If patience is a virture...I'm not very virtuous. I'm trying like hell not to call the crackpipe until next week. No changes on the MOL status...

 

My MA just e-mailed that my Clubman is starting production today! ASK MINI still says week 38 with no confirmed production date, and the OL still says on order.

Still no production date. I'm starting to get the feeling that I'm going to end up in week 39 after getting bumped from week 37 to 38. Considering that (from what I've heard) that the production week is the week the car is completed and it takes 9 days start to finish to build, unless mine starts tomorrow it will be week 39. It's gotta be the "Curse of the Chili Red! Yeah that gotta be it! They must have run out of red paint!

 

Weeeeeeyallllll..... congrats to you! That's too cool- Keep us informed as it gives those of us, who haven't reached that elusive next level, hope.

Altho it also blows my working theory that maybe the justacooper styles were going thru first and THEN they'd start the week38 clubbies. crud.

Called Ask-Mini and fella said that it's on day-by-day production. He explained that it meant the parts are together and are next in line to be assembled. So officially production has not started but the parts are lined up. w00t!

It should start pretty soon. Wheeeee! I think once I've gotten the VIN(just for insurance purposes), I'm not gonna check the status daily-just weekly- and that should speed the process. Yes, that's it...

 

Hmmm.... Let me know if that works!

I have a completion date! The 19th! Hopefully it well get down to Annapolis by the middle of Oct!

 

No up date or vin but told car might be buildt before I check back Monday or Tuesday with Ask Mini? I believe 99% of the customer service phone people are outstanding but a lazy one will leave you hot an bothered so to speak. Week 38 close but no cigar yet.

 

OMG! I just called 1-866-CRACKIPE! Got the Automagic info and was told I'm in PRODUCTION! no VIN (gotta get a "real" person for that I guess- watch out MA, LOL), but a completion date of 18 Sept! Woo Hoo, doing a happy dance on two feet and a crutch-
(kids are looking at me like I'm nuts... tee hee hee)

TNMINI...I'm dancing with you. My MA just e-mailed that my clubman went into production this morning. Are you dealing with MINI Nashville?...I am. JoMo...it's the third one we've bought from him. They may all be taking a boat ride together!

Absolutely! Love MINI and MINI of Nashville has been good to me. My MA ordered a Chocolate/Black Clubman for his wire and a Pepper White/Black Clubman for himself. His wife's went into production yesterday, mine went in first thing this morning and his followed a couple of hours later. Hope they all have a safe cruise, and transport to Nashville together. Hopefully we can all meet in person at one of the shows at the dealership. The next four to six weeks is going to be tough! I'm so impatient...
