DooBahDoo -

I placed my order on Tues (9/9). On Saturday (9/13), I called my MA for a production number and was told that I was already in Code 151, with a completion date of 9/17. Today, I was told by ASK-MINI that assembly was complete and I was in QC. Assuming that I went into production on Friday and that QC will only take a day, it seems that 6-7 days for a build is right.

I wouldn't be surprised if your build is completed before the end of this week. I hope mine (and all other 38s) didn't cause any undue slowdowns on the line. We all want smooth, efficient and perfect assembly this week. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for the info and the well-wishes. I'm hoping we all have a successful build week and safe shipping accross the pond.

The guy I talked to on the crackline yesterday said there were system update issues and they were getting conflicting information for people so there must be something going on. I was originally told week 36 but then found out that all '09 builds defaulted to week 36 but then were getting pushed out based on order date, dealer allotment etc. All I know is it's already been a long three plus weeks but I know the wait will be worth it. It's hard not to want to hit the crackline every day though!

In the body shop today. Doesn't look like mine will be done until Monday.

If I'm lucky I'll make the Medea on the 22nd. If not then it's the Isolde on the 29th. The Isolde has one more stop so there will be a 10 day lag over the Medea. <sigh>

Hi Ben! Lucky you! I know we'll all get good news over the course of the next few days, and when we least expect it.

Detailed Tracking Instructions

Thank you for forwarding that link. My MCS should be finished tomorrow and hopefully on a ship soon!

I hit the pipe today and my car is in the paint shop, so I hope it is done tomorrow and by some stroke of luck make it on the Don Quijote on the 19th...oh I can almost smell the thing!

Some of the week 37 folks are still waiting to be put on a ship. This makes me nervous that I won't get on one of the boats this weekend. I wonder if the delay has to do with being on the west coast?

Congrats Uggbird! I like all the good news people are getting. I'm trying like hell not to call my MA or hit the crackline (ASK MIINI) but it's SO hard!

Checked the automated CRACKPIPE this morning and our Clubman has been released to the "carrier" for transport to the port! (The owner's lounge still has it listed as scheduled for production, how lame.)

Hey uggbird and gaffer - Congrats.

I got the same msg this morning. Guess QC went smoothly yesterday. If I'm reading the WW site correctly, it looks like we have 3 chances to hop aboard a carrier to get across the pond quickly.

Don Quijote departs 9/19, arrives Charleston 10/2,
Patriot departs 9/20, arrives Charleston 10/4,
and Undine departs 9/23, arriving Charleston 10/7.

Any one of these might have us motoring before Columbus Day (unless the bonnet stripes slow you down a bit at the VDC). Let's hope a bunch more 38ers can join us for the trip.

Chuck
