Good point! I didn't think about the bonnet stripes having to be put on. I ordered factory stripes, but they are actually put on at the VDC?

I could take it no longer. I hit the crackline and have a tentative completion date of 9/22. We went into production 9/13...is 8-days about right? Best case scenario is MV Undine sailing 9/23 but probably way too optimistic...will probably sail on the Fedora 9/30 with arrival in Charleston 10/14. The CSRep said she couldn't guarantee the accuracy of the information...thus feeding my obsession to this page and all things MINI tracking.

Here's wishing us all good luck, speedy and successful builds, and a safe trip accross the pond!

Oh my dream is to have my car the weekend of Columbus Day!! My car was in the paint shop yesterday, but the automated system still says completion est. 9/18. I am hoping that it went through QA today and can make it on a boat this weekend!

Thanks DooBahDoo - i hope it makes either the Don Quixote or the Patriot! If it does, it will be in NYC on either the 28th or 29th of September.

My wife and I have to pick up my grandson from college for his fall break Oct 10th and take him back on Oct 13th. Assuming he can fit in the back (we're all under 5'8") and my MINI is here it will be a good trip to speed up the break-in period (300 miles each way)!

Keep us posted on your MINI's progress.

Steve

Hi, my name is Vivi and I'm a MINI production sufferer... <Hi Vivi>

Folks, my addiction is such that I broke down a few minutes ago and took a hit off the crack pipe. Ahhhh... momentary sweetness was savoured. My pusher provided me with a small tidbit of information, that I'm in production and will be finished by tomorrow ~ which includes being finished with Quality Control, and then it's off to the port. Ahhhh... but my pusher couldn't/wouldn't give me a code number.

Fellow sufferers, I have fallen. I have succombed to the Eeeeviles of our addiction. I must repent and ask blessed forgiveness... I must prosthelitize myself to our MA(ker) and asked to be he(y)aled... TO BE HE(y)ALED! To have the devil pushed from my In-MINI soul... We must lay on our hands and repeat "Ah-OUT Jezebel!"

(I've really got to stop going to bed with the TV on...)

Vivi

we are at the port just waiting for a ship to Port Hueneme, I do not think that ship leaves until 9/22.

Vivi -

Good news. Soon you will break free from the throes of addiction. Once Mochalatte hits Southampton (should only be a few days from now), the crackpipe will be of no help to you anymore.

You will be able to replace it with a healthy habit (always a good thing). Watching your MINI (along with some of ours) make its leisurely journey across the Atlantic will be a healthy, relaxing, and cleansing experience. It will be the perfect preparation for the impending introduction and "first date" with your new family member.

Remember, we're all in this together, and we'll all get through this together.

Chuck

Just hit the crackpipe and I'm finally in production with an est. completion date of 9/20! I still might make the Undine if the MINI production gods smile on me and the stars align just right.

Hi, mine name is Dave, and I'm a MINIholic.

Was told completion is on the 19th. Is that too close to the 23rd to be onboard?

I don't know if I can take it! Does MINI realize that people don't do this for a Prius (at least noone I know). I've never been addicted to anything! I can't get any work done. I'm not sleeping at night. It's c-r-a-z-y! No, I'm c-r-a-z-y!

Vivian! You will be jetting in Mochalatte about a week to 10 days before me...so no clubman party at MINI of Nashville...

I couldn't help it. The automated info this morning wasn't good enough. I called back and talked to a rep and found out the Clubman arrived at the port of exit today and is waiting to be loaded on a ship! She's saying like a couple of weeks left! She couldn't give me a status code and said that's internal information? She also said they wouldn't have much information past this point.

Congratulations on the good news. I'm so tempted to hit the crackpipe again! I've found that it depends on who answers as to what information they request and what information they are willing to release...not that I've called enough to know everyone on a first name basis or anything.

A-N-T-I-C-I-P-A-T-I-O-N!!! I can't take it anymore!!!

Our Clubman must be hanging out with yours. We are also at the port of exit. We need to wait until Medea leaves for Port Hueneme which will not be until 8/22. I believe you will be on a ship before us.

BREATHE DooBahDoo, breathe! You went into production a day after I did. SO, you should come out of production a day after I do. Which means our children will be on the boat together, sunning themselves on the deck, dancing until the wee hours of the morning and hopefully not drinking too much. (does anyone know if MINIs are prone to sea sickness?!)

My wicked suggestion is to get a big honkin' hit off that crackpipe. Or call your MA... heck call MY MA!!! Richey said there SHOULD be 5 Clubman "S"'s on this delivery, and you're one of them!

Ohhhhhhmmmmmnnnnnmyminiscomingohhhhhhhhmmmmmmnnnnn

OOps, I forgot to tell you- once it comes in, I am having roof racks installed and my windows/sunroof tinted- so that party might happen anyway (if we're not on the same boat)- Besides, I'd come to town for your car's adoption!

Ya know- we could always start our own MiniClub... Crackpipe Mini Club.

(insert wicked giggle here)

Oh Chuck....I'm not sure it's that easy to get over this addiction. My DH is now talking about ordering a MINI. Seems he's now just as excited about MochaLatte as I am.
That, and I've already started plugging in coordinates to Google Maps. I will download Google Earth soon too. Heck, I'm half tempted to go to SC and get a boat so I can escort the ship into port! (ok, I wouldn't do that... but I do know people in the Coast Guard, maybe I could go out in a CG Cutter!)

Ahhhh.... I'm going back to my mantra:
Ohhhhhhmmmmmnnnnmyminiscomingohhhhhhhmmmmnnnnn

Lola is currently in QA and expected to leave for the port tomorrow. have my fingers crossed that she will make it onto Patriot, but that mght be wishful thinking. I'm betting on Undine at this point. I am keeping fingers crossed for a smooth trip to NYC and through the VDC so I can possibly pick her up on Yom Kippur since I have the day off that day!

Vivi,

You're so sweet. You guys want to know how pathetic my obsession is? I just came in from mowing the entire 3.5 acre lawn, trimming, edging the sidewalks and driveway, weedeating, blowing everything off, and washing down the deck. Pathetic! I had to do something to get away from the pipe!

Lets start a MINI club! Nashville has so much going on all the time and I see a lot of MINI's. If Huntsville, AL can get a club together certainly we can. They meet for dinner once a month, do their local Holiday parade, and a few other things throughout the year. We should do it! Just think...a new way to continue our obsession/addiction. We could become the crackpipe for other locals...all we need is a website...
