This is my first MINI ever and I too have been afflicted with the obsession of calling the hotline all the time and dreaming about my new ride!

You guys seem to know more about everything MINI than me, so expect me to be here a lot to check up on you guys! I can't wait!!

 

I called MiniUSA this morning. We're still Week 38, and that's fine with me.

Northern CA is flush with Minis, including Clubmen. Since placing our order, I've seen four Clubmen in the wild, as follows:
- Dark silver, silver pillars
- Nightfire red, silver pillars
- Electric blue, silver pillars
- Hot chocolate, silver pillars

I haven't seen our color combo, SS/BK, so we'll be unique as far as I know. Someone told me there's a PW Clubman in our area, but I haven't seen it.

It is interesting that all the Clubmans you have seen in the wild have Silver Pillars. I believe the two we have seen also had Siliver Pillars.

 

Found out today our JustaClubman is week 38! PW/B & B Bonnet Stripes, Premium, Cold, Ext. Chrome Line, Automatic, Spt. Seats, Anthracite, Piano Black, Front & Rear Fog, White turn signals, Blaster Wheels, All Season Tires. We're going to be a 2 MINI family!

 

Hi to the new folks. I just calld Ask MINI (yeah, again) and was told that the week 38 builds will start in that week, not necessarily complete in that week. This seems at odds with the experience of people posting in the week 36 and 37 threads. The friendly rep I spoke to said that production is running smoothly on the new 2009 vehicles but not to expect any bump up in completion time. Dissapointing I keep hoping that somehow they can crank these puppies out faster (without lowering build quality obviously) but so far my prayers are unanswered. I honestly think the wait gets harder and harder the closer it comes to build day.

I am running out of valid reasons to call Ask MINI.

 

I am spending more time watching the week 37 support thread to get an idea when we will start production and get a VIN #. I am trying to hold off calling Ask Mini again...

 

Alright guys, my status just changed to 'scheduled for production' and the automated phone line informed me that the car is scheduled to be finished on Sept 7th. The website is also now displaying my VIN number. I am very impressed since this is 2 weeks early and these guys seem to be beating expectations so far. The order was put in 10 days ago.
Ok, I admit my MCS isn't the most highly optioned choice so maybe that helps with the build time, but nonetheless this is still very very encouraging.

 

Well it sounds like you were probably a week 37 all along...lucky you! I am still 'On Order'. I will probably call a rep today and double check that. Yesterday I talked to my MA and added a few features, but he said it wouldn't effect my build date....I hope he was right.

 

With our order, the Owner's Lounge, and the automated thing at 866-ASK-MINI only said "on order". We called back 866-ASK-MINI, talked to a live person and got better information. Just have your production number handy if you call.

 

It's obvious they are running ahead and people are getting these cars faster. The weeks assigned to us are conservative estimates which is a good thing...

 

ARGGGG, this is driving me batty. It seems like all the week 37ers are running ahead of schedule and I still have not gotten anyone at Ask MINI to give me aything better than I am confirmed for week 38 build. The last rep said that was when production would START, not finish, but it goes against everything I have read here about people's actual experiences. I am happy (really, not sarcastic happy, but happy happy) for you guys who have ordered just a few days ago and are already this close, but this has simply stunk to have ordered in mid July. Here's hoping that we all get pushed forward a bit and have less time to wait.

All the Ask MINI reps have been friendly and pleasant, but I have gotten nothing really good out of them yet!

 

I'm with ya. I ordered in late June and am also treading water in week 38.

 

I wouldn't worry too much Jumboshrimp, I am positive the news for you will be better than expected. Maybe the clubman line with those options is taking a tad longer but the entire build process seems to be very smooth with minimal delays. I am betting on your vehicle being done earlier than anticipated

 

My MA assured me that no mini's at that dealership are getting done early and that I am still scheduled for a week 38 build (along with 80 some customers there). Something tells me that he doesn't know a whole lot about the production status on the 2009s. I just hope my little guy gets built no later than Sept. 15 and hits the dealership in the second week of Oct.! This is my dream.

 

I have the same dream jakeryanitc! I am a teacher and we have Columbus Day off (Oct. 13th) and my biggest dream right now is to be motoring that day!! Here's hoping for all of us! I am typically not this obsessive about anything, but this MINI thing has turned me into a monster!

 

Finally found the week 38 group!

Ordered last Tuesday and found out last night I am scheduled for week 38, even though the configurator says I am still "on order". Getting an automatic justaCooper in Nightfire Red, with Black roof and chrome mirrors, piano black inside, anthracite and some other options.

Was told I should have it in "early Oct" here in DC (well, actually at the dealer in Annapolis, MD).

The following is a pointless update:

I called the Ask Mini hotline and the lovely woman on the other line told me that they are still just showing me as a week 38 build with no defined build day. Still waiting!! Hoping that will change come Monday.

 

I also called ASK MINI today and found out I have a week 38 build. I can't wait to see it start moving in the owners lounge

 

Time to check in and join the wait. Told week 38 build with completion in final full week of September. West coast ship, so hoping to be taking a drive around Halloween. The days are sure dragging by since I ordered in July.

We're on the 10 yard line, keep our eyes on the goal!

 

I am hoping for a LV pickup at the end of Oct. also.

 

Hello Week 38er's

Looks like we are still in the waiting game. my MA just told me that my MCS will be build on week 38. my OL still showing on order, I think it will change next week. hopefully..

I bought all the accessories...right now just waiting.....

 

Rieux - I am in Newtown but grew up in Norwalk. We lived in Cantral NY for many years, but came back to this area before my first kiddo was born.

 

I got bumped from week 37 to week 38, so I will be hanging out with you guys.

 

I am praying we are not bumped to week 39. The waiting is killing me.

 

Should we have our vins on or about 9/15/08 for week 38? Watching 37 makes sense too. One other thought. It appears that about 6 cars are being buildt in week 38.
