I'm with you. I placed my order on 8/16 and still have not been given anymore info than a week 38 build. Hopefully this will change soon.

 

Well Jakeryanitc, they told me week 38, then the next time I called they didn't know. I emailed my MA yesterday and he said I was a 112 code, which means poised at the brink of production (his words), but honestly it says that on the paperwork he gave me almost 2 weeks ago. So I think he's just feeding my addiction a bit. I'm trying not to aggravate the lovely crackpipe folks. Do you think they keep track of how many times this crazy woman has called?

 

I just called ASK MINI and spoke to a customer service rep. She just repeated the whole "Week 38 with no specific production date" that was on the automated system. When I asked for a status code, she said that the system doesn't give that information.

I think for my mental health I need to walk away from this until next week. Seeing the status "On Order" over and over again is beginning to feel like watching paint dry.

 

I ordered my Clubman on August 12. I called ASK MINI last night and I'm scheduled for week 38 with no specific date yet. I can't wait!

 

ok well it sounds like a lot of you are still the same as me, that is sort of a relief. I am just ready for my cooper! Thanks everyone.

 

Yesterday the CRACKPIPE hotline gave me the date and VIN. Today the Owner's Lounge has updated from "on order" to "scheduled for production." BTW, we ordered the car on 8/11. Week 38ters with not much information: Hang in there... It's coming!

 

I ordered on 8/16, so maybe I just need to be patient. this is a virtue I have lost since ordering a mini cooper.

I agree! It is sort of a relief to see other Week 38ers with no change on their order status. I guess its true, "misery loves company"

My MA emailed me my VIN this morning!

At the bottom of the page i noticed under the Transport section (after the car leaves the port for the dealer) it said "Self Drive"

I called my MA and he assured me that the car would be trucked along with other MINIs and BMWs (and not driven) to the dealer...

Whew - i don't want anyone driving my car except me, especially for the first 1200 miles.

Ok guys, I have the PC version working it just needs a little beautification. I should have something posted in the tracking thread before the end of the weekend.

Also, does anyone mind it requires the .NET framework 1.0 (a 20mb download from Microsoft)? I think a lot of people already have this, but if it's a problem I can rewrite it using non .NET stuff.

 

After telling myself I wouldn't call, I had a relapse and had to "Hit the Pipe". Still scheduled for production. Was told to call middle to end of next week and they could give me my VIN. I don't think I can hold out. Now where did I put my sponsers phone number.

After Midnight the Owners lounge updated with the VIN and Production status. At least for the OL was 1 day behind the 866 Ask Mini.

 

ordered mine 8/20, called AskMini and he says week ~36-38. My question is, if it really is week36 (or even 37), shouldn't they have a VIN for me already?

 

There is another thread that week 36 has already loaded on the Elektra as of 9/8/08 at Southhampton port.

I wonder if it equates that if you ordered on 8/08/08 and started production on 9/10/08, that if I ordered 8 days after you on 8/16/08 that I would start production on 9/18/08?

Actually I'd be okay with that. I wish it was sooner, but I'd be okay with it. It's the not knowing, and calling, and not knowing, and calling, and...... well thats whats driving me nuts.

 

I wasn't going to call today, I really wasn't but I couldn't resist the siren song of 1-866- CRACKPIPE....I have a VIN!!!!! I am in production!!!!!!!!! I have a completion date of 9/17!!!!!!!!!! I am completely insane. I did an endzone style victory dance in my living room. My children and DH are ready to have me put in a rubber room.

I would think if you call ASK MINI and they do not tell you that you are in production as of Monday, I think you were bumped to 39.

 

I'm a week 37'er and a lot of us didn't get our VIN and move into scheduled for production on the OL until this past Monday so you could still be fine. Some of the members in our week finished production at the beginning of this week and are already loaded onto ships, yet some of us didn't start production until the beginning of the week and will finish production on this Saturday or Sunday and catch a ship sometime next week...I hope!

Week 38 doesn't actually start until this upcoming Monday. Hang tight, you're probably fine.
