Why doesn't the Owner's Lounge like me?

I just got my production number last night and when I tried to set up my account for the Owner's Lounge, it told me that the production number was for a BMW and I would be redirected to the BMW Owner's Circle. What gives? Will things straighten out in a day or two? Did my MA screw up? Is this a glitch that everyone has to deal with?

You've just got a digit wrong. Your MA will straighten it out.

Same here -- owners lounge kicks out production # as BMW

I figure since I ordered yesterday (Saturday) BMW NA really won't do anything with it until Monday.. So I will wait until then before I leave my MA emails...... I can't wait to get my Mini

Mine showed up as a BRG JCW for a day or two before changing to a LaB JCW as expected. The BRG was the one that was on order previously, but it wasn't for a specific customer. So, when I placed my order the config of the BRG one got changed, and the OL is a bit slow.

A call to MINIUSA may help straighten things out too.

I had a similar thing happen to me. When I went to register it originally had me listed as an Astro Black Cooper...I had ordered a Mellow Yellow Cooper S.

I completed the registration anyway and when inside all my info was correct.

also the OL is much slower than the 866ASKMINI hotline most of the time.

Same here. I called my MA and he confirmed my order went through exactly as I requested. 2 days later the OL updated and everything looks good now!

when it does update the OL is an accurate reflection of your order so check the "review order" tab. i noticed some errors on mine so i called my MA and sure enough the GM had entered the order incorrectly! i managed to get it changed before production started. it would have been a disaster otherwise.

The same thing happened to me on Friday. I went ahead to the BMW site and got to the 2nd stage of registration there before I got kicked out. I then called the automated ASK-MINI, put in my production number, and got the message that my order had been received, but there was no build week yet. This told me two things: I am in the MINI system after all, and I'm not getting an Alpina B7 for the price of a Clubman. (I'd have just traded it in for a JCW -- or two!) I suspect that this will shake out in the next week, just like others have reported the wrong colors initially showing in the OL -- which, from reading other threads and zonedguy's sticky, seems quite common in the early days of the process.

To get your VIN, go to OL and click the review order tab on the left.
