CORRECTION: departure is 7/2 not 9/2. Sheesh!

Since at least a couple of us are onboard the W&W ELEKTRA, I thought I needed to start a thread! In case you want to stop pestering the MINI Owner's Lounge (or are just tired of the theme song) you can track the ship movement online using the following URL:

I'm on the ELEKRTA, but it's carrying my BMW 135i. Selling my 03 MINI Cooper. I remember when my MINI was on a WW ship and I staked it!

Good morning fellow cruise members Did you notice the Elektra has

" messroom, TV-room/ library, gymnasium, outdoor swimming pool and a sauna"

so looks like our MINIs' and the BMW will be having a nice cruise

OH...your Elektra might be leaving Sept 2 but mine is leaving July 2 as in today

I don't think other than the site administrator can change the title...no big deal but for those who do know about the Elektra leaving today and see all the excitement about it leaving Sept 2nd are going

Oh... it is now 7:44 pm in Southhampton and the Elektra departs at 9 pm... just a little over an hour from now the cruise begins

Waiting for drop-off in Halifax (Canadian car), and then the long train ride west to the prairies...

Looks like we're half way across the Atlantic!

Should make port in Halifax in 3-4 days! Then on down the coast to the US...

Our salesman said we'll likely have the car before the 15th, which seems reasonable given that it arrives in NY on the 10th.

 

Wow! It looks like MELO-YELO and MeloR56 are also getting cars in the DC area, too. I am getting mine at MINI of Towson- where are you guys getting yours? Sterling?

 

Sterling MINI and MELO-YELO and me are one and the same.. except she tolerates my mods for the MINI which we call ME'LO

My dark silver MCS is on Elektra as well, I had relatives in Southampton keep an eye on them as they loaded up earlier in the week.

Looking forward to picking it up 7/15 or so.

 

I'm confused. Is the Elektra stopping in Charleston? Also, I can't find my VIN on the list. Mind you, it's a BMW, but I thought they'd all be listed, not just he MINIs.

 

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but according to the ww website, the Elektra's arrival dates (an subsequent departures) have been pushed back a day.

 

Explains why Elektra has bee hovering off the coast of NS...seems to be in a hold pattern...but a day or two make no diff to me and is at least on our side of the big pool

I also remember reading in a different thread that once the vessels are close to the shore that the tracking no longer works. Just a thought (and a personal hope..)

 

The Elektra has made port in Halifax and "discharged" my Clubman
