First Test Drive

I decided it was time to take a Mini out for a test drive. My plan is to go for new but with the state of the economy I want to be doubly sure before making the commitment. I can now say that I will "most probably" not miss my 4X4 Dodge (I like the truck but not paying to run it).
I drove a pretty basic Blue/White MC with sport seats, convenience package and 6 speed std. I was very relieved to find that it had a smooth quiet ride nothing like a Neon (Mom has an 05 Neon). Power was decent and brakes INCREDIBLE. I drove my Diesel Dodge (I have 2 trucks) to Inskip Mini and when I left I had to be careful because of the size difference and rowing the trucks N56 six speed is completely different.
I needed to be sure and now I can say that a Mini will hopefully be in the driveway by September or October.

Very nice!!! I like to intentionally keep my MINIs pretty basic so as to not overshadow what I really love most about the car. It's one viable approach...and there's nothing wrong w/that. There's a lot right, in fact.

I'm sure it is the same with everyone here, we can't drive an "appliance".

The MINI has to be one of the neatest cars on the road today.

Thanks for the well wishes. I am going to be running numbers all week and trying to figure out how to make my truck look attractive to a new owner. I would keep it as a second vehicle for home projects but as I posted before I already have my CDT.

In the meantime I'll keep checking out the postings here and will keep looking at available MINIs on Auto Trader, Auto Mart, and Cars.com even though I think new is the best way to go.

I've already built six or seven different combos on MiniUSA trying to narrow down to the perfect MINI for me.

Best regards,
SteveB

No matter the MINI, you definitely won't go wrong, it's a wonderful car.

Way back when in 02', my hubby drove a Dodge Ram 4x4 Pickup - when we sold it to purchase the MINI, we never looked back....
