My has been completed on the 6/18 still and not loaded, nothing pulls by the vin.... anyone else...???

 

They're waiting for my MINI to be finished. It should be done today, so expect the ship to depart sometime tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm getting not vin check either. I guess we're on that other shipping line.

What do we have left in terms of time once they're on the boat? One week on the water (I'm assuming they're dropping off my car in NYC), another week at the VDC and then a couple of days at the dealer. Two and a half weeks?

That's cool. I still have to line up my financing again, get my aero kit painted, all the while finishing up my parallel project of putting my Ducati back together again after her 12k mile service. Once the Ducati is back together again, I just may very well forget to pick up the JCW Man, I miss the ole girl.

Funny just looked at the K line and I know the port is going to Brunswick, GA they dont even ship there??? Do they? Someone else please look?

 

Yours may be on WW Cargo, one of their ports is Brunswick. They have the COURAGE arriving on July 8th (Departs on June 23rd), DON JUAN on July 9th (Departs on June 25th) or INTEGRITY on July 4th (Departs on June 28th). Hopefully your on the COURAGE. If your on WW then you should be able to track yours at http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/ Select Auto Tracking and enter your VIN number.

mine has been waiting for transit since the 17th, my vin # was not listed with WW.....

 

Ask Mini says mine is waiting to be released for transport.

What does this mean?

 

I am in the same situation..."awaiting transport" since the 20th but no info on WW site etc. I am shopping for aftermarket parts to keep my mind off the wait.

 

I'm going to call tomorrow morning to talk to a person on AskMini. Maybe our cars are already at the dock and they are just behind in updating the status.

 

Mine as done wednesday at the dock friday and updated sunday...so they are a few days behind :(

 

Mine is waiting patiently at the dock too. Still nothing on the WW site, may call my MA tomorrow to see if Siva's been booked on the Emden.

 

They dont know anything further:(

 

I wonder if Minis get processed at the VDC by priority of the completion date at the factory. It seems to me that if your car sat on the docks for 9 days waiting for a ship it should get processed FIRST at the VDC. I wonder if they take that into consideration or is it more random?

 

Crap it been done almost a week....

 

Processing is done by priority, but only based on whether the car has a buyer already lined up or not. So basically as they come off the ship, the ones that have buyers waiting will go first, but in whatever order they get off the ship.

 

So is all of week 25 stuck in this wierd shipping limbo? My status has been stuck on 'waiting to be released to carrier' for 2 days.

 

LOL mine has been that way since thursday:(

 

I'm tracking 2 production slots that are one day apart (I'm only getting the latter of the two cars) and as of today the first car is released to the carrier while the second is "waiting to be released". I assume that since they are one day apart I will get released tomorrow.

 

Btw guys -- I just checked my online status and it has been updated to Awaiting Transport. I called the AskMini and it still says it's waiting for release to carrier.

I'll call and get the real scoop tomorrow.

 

OK - Here's the scoop - just realized in an e-mail from the sales manager it is complete. He also explained he gets information a lot sooner than either ASK MINI and definitely the Owner's Lounge; any other source would "pale" in comparison; the Owner's Lounge still indicates in production and ASK MINI says it is in the paint shop. He seems to really be in touch with the order process or knows how to get it prioritized as it was ordered on June 7th and he initially told me production week of the 23rd but a few days later it turned out to be the week of the 16th, but I found out the true production began on the 13th. The one thing he cannot provide is a ship manifest and it seems that Astro will be hanging around the U.K. for at least a week... hope they put him up at the 4 Seasons in Hyde Park! I'll be waiting...

 

My status just changed to AWAITING TRANSPORT.

The car also shows up on the WW site. Loaded today on the COURAGE.

I checked yesterday and there was no status change so I guess the day it is loaded on the boat, the WW site info is updated.
