I saw it as it passed by the solent web camera. It was the only ship in front of the camera's view. I watched as the ship left the berth and went out the channel into the North Sea until I could no longer see the green Undine dot.

Have you been able to figure how to get the MINIs to help the boat move faster? Since you are so good at spotting the ship off the webcam, it is convincing that you can conceive this theory. Please advise.

Thanks,

Jay

Let''s see, have all MINIs lift their left hind foot, tie a string from it to a central wheel and rev up. Yup, that should do it. Cathie

YAAAYYYY we are on our way! I just checked Sail WX and the Undine is just off the Ilses of Scilly on the Southwestern most coast of the UK, the trip to Texas looks clear so far but there are some storms along Baja California but they will probably pass before we get there. I can't wait!!!!

John, Thanks for the heads up on sailwx, Now I can feed my obsession. The Undine is so huge that a storm shouldn't be a problem.

I went to the Apple store today. Vessel tracker glitch resolved with installation of Firefox. I am ready to follow the Undine to Port Hueneme.

Not to go off subject here as we are on a lenghthy voyage. Has anyone received any special news/gifts from your dealer or MINI USA since ordering your cars? I have been receiving some updates from the dealer and received a picture of Astro coming throught the birth canal... (see Thumbnail).

I have purchased many cars (never on order before), but received gifts sometimes such as a polo shirt with the car's logo, a cactus, a tin of cookies, and a nice pen and pencil set. I always think it is a nice gesture...

I think our cars are practicing yoga in preparation for dealing with us in a few weeks as it is the only calm they'll get; however, it appears that some sort of tropical storm is developing somewhat south in the Atlantic - her name is Bertha. I just hope it is not BIG BERTHA!

I think the MINIs are learning Swedish. It is part of the curriculum for coming to a multicultural Nation. By the way Happy Fourth of July. Cathie

That very well could be - from Mr. Saab and Mrs. Volvo both must be aboard...

The Undine now appears to be right smack dab in the middle of the Atlantic and right on schedule... the Undine will beat Bertha to the punch. YEAH!!!

It is quite certain we'll have our vehicles delivered to us in 3 weeks. I have decided to donate the furniture in my garage to charity to make room for Astro. That's a good feeling.

There's gonna be fireworks tonight. Enjoy.

Well I have a map that also shows Jupiter but I thought the close up of the tracking was a better pic.

Here she is... 6 hours later. BERTHA's wind speeds are now 5 MPH faster but the UNDINE is travelling overall faster and will beat the tropical storm; thus, no foreseen delays in delivery. I really do feel like a kid, what a feeling!

One thing I am VERY suspicious about, the dealer just advised me it is a "10 to 15 day process to get through the port and to the dealer" - just tell me that ain't so! From what I can tell, it should be about a five day process when viewing other stories on this website. Also, I do not have any additional equipment that would be installed at the VDC, so there shouldn't be any delay? I want to be pleasantly surprised and have a call that Astro is ready for pick up on the 25th of this month! I am hopeful this is not just wishful thinking?

Looks like Bertha will not negatively affect the UNDINE at all. WHEW!
