I seem to remember that the "How to Track Your MINI" thread says something about how once your car reaches the docks, only the MA can give you detailed tracking information and that the quality of that information varies widely.

I find it curious that both of you used the same MA in Nashville and that both of you have the same "at the port" response. That was the same thing my MA told me on Friday until he was finally able to see an update this morning.

Perhaps, your MA just isn't very good at tracking your MINIs for you, and therefore doesn't know how to get the "inside" info that other MAs seem to be adept at flushing out.

Then again, it could be that he just doesn't care since he gets his commission whether you know what boat your car is on or not, and he's got people lined up around the corner waiting for him to order one for them, too

Regardless, I would be very surprised to find that you really are NOT on the Emden or the Caribbean Highway.

Hey Jeremy - thanks for the uplifting thought for Vokoun29 and me! Although I won't count on anything, it sure seems to help the day end better! I'll keep you all posted as to when I know that Jack made it aboard a vessel.

I'm wondering - has your status on the Owner's lounge changed yet from Awaiting transport to En route? Jeremy (Merlin) has me thinking that just maybe...

 

Mine hasn't even changed in the OL, yet. It still says that I'm awaiting transport. If it wasn't for my MA, I'd still have no idea.

Does anyone know of any other way I could determine my MINI's status for sure? My MA is off today.

 

I wonder if you could call and get another MA to check for you? Just call and explain that your MA is off and ask if they can tell if it's on a boat or not.

 

You know I can't believe that the K line doesn't have tracking. Since I'm on the west coast I've been confirmed on my ship (by first guessing and then using WW site to confirm)......it's kind of sad watching all of you east coasters fret over there whereabouts of your cars.

When I did my BMW euro deliveries it was the opposite: all of the west coast people were shut out of the information since the NYK line doesn't have tracking, but the east coast used WW which has tracking. Kind of weird that the parent company uses 2 different shipping companies when WW serves both coasts. Must be a $$ thing.

 

I am lucky the K line did not go to GA or I would have been wondering along with everyone else

 

I thought my car was on a K-line ship, turns out it is still sitting on the docks. It has been there since the 23rd.

 

My MA finally figured out the system and gave me an arrival date of July 8, which means it looks like I'm on the boat with msduncan.

Says about a week from the arrival it should be in my grubby little hands.

Hey new: Please put your location in your profile....it makes it much easier to help you if we know what port your car is arriving at. I did some snooping and found out you're in California...so your car will be loading right now on the Undine.

Go to owner's lounge or your dealer and get the VIN number and plug it into the WW site:

You are definately riding with me on the Caribbean Highway. I wonder where that ship is right now? I tried to use Google earth with their vessel tracker to find it, but there was a HUGE list of ships and I couldn't figure out a way to search for it within GE.

 

Maxx was loaded onto the Undine at 6:34 am Pacific time....YAY

 

Hey - it's good news for my Mini! My husband called Nashville and spoke with Richey (My MA, John is off today). After checking, Richey confirmed that indeed my Mini is aboard Caribbean Highway. (I just knew it!)

I'm not sure what happened and why John seemed to think that I missed all 3 vessels in the last week, but this is certainly good news, so I don't even mind so much now!

I would seriously think that anyone else out there going to Nashville is on the Caribbean Hwy too. Definitely worth the time to call again.

Thanks for all the talk and good advice on this message board - it sure helps knowing that I'm not the only one who 'slightly' obsessed about where in the world my Mini was.
