I hate to bother them too much. I've already made a couple dealer option changes over the last week.....

 

Their job is to make sure you are happy, you're not bothering them. Simply call the dealership and ask to speak to the Sales Manager, when he comes on the line explain that your MINI was completed nearly a week ago now and according to the OL you are still awaiting transport. That's way too long to be sitting on a dock so if your MINI is indeed on a ship as you suspect then you'd like for him to check and let you know. Seriously, this does not take long at all and you won't be viewed as 'bothersome'. Put that foot down!

 

Manager said the only grey area they get is the time between Awaiting Transport and In Transit, and unfortunately, there's nothing they get on their end until MINIUSA updates the system to say In Transit, and then they'll have the ship info and ETA to the VDC and everything like that.

He looked up all of the info on mine and said that it was completed on the 19th, given to the carrier on the 20th, made it to the dock on the 21st and has been sitting there since.

I told him about the two K-Line ships and how I'm still not showing on the WW lines and he agreed that it's probably on there, but a lot of times they don't get the update until the ship's been at sea for a week or so. He guessed a three week wait until delivery at most, and that he'd watch for any changes on the inventory status on his end.

So it's probably going to take just as much time for the OL page to update as it will for the dealer to get an update. I'll keep an eye out though.

 

Well as a week 24 I was at the dock (received at terminal) on the 12th only loaded on a ship on the 23rd...so you week 25ers might not quite be loaded on the ship (vessel) quite yet.

OMG this is terrible. Apple how did you do it?

I *hate* knowing my car is sitting there not moving. I need to know it's inching it's way here....that each day it passes over deep ocean trenches, mountain ranges, creatures yet undiscovered in the ocean getting closer and closer to Charleston. I absolutely hate thinking it's sitting there waiting in line.

 

Read all you can it hard,,,mine also went into the body shop the day the strike started Friday, so it sat with nothing done for 2 days, then the moved my date back 2 days......it was hard..........you will be with her soon.....

 

I am so distraught I called you apple. lol

 

I talked to my MA today as well. He said that he doesn't have any updates for me and that to the best of his knowledge, my car is sitting on the side of the pier with the rest of you watching the ships come and go.

He told me that he'd put a daily reminder on his calendar to check for me until he gets word.

He also mentioned that there is apparently a big backup right now, and that he heard a rumour that they would be adding a new port to help increase capacity. Unfortunately, that wouldn't do much good for us.

I just checked the WW auto cargo site and found out I am booked on the Undine!! After many checks on this site only to see the nothing booked reply it was very exciting to finally see Cargo Status History page pop up. The booking number for this ship is GBSOU659420.

Good luck to you finding your car booked on this ship too. It is the next one to head to Port Hueneme.

That's too bad. My car was very close to yours in looking at your progress dates. I also see that many of the cars on the Undine were "Received at Terminal" between the 20th and 27th. My car completed production on the 19th.

 

I'm booked on the Undine....it's OFFICIAL!! (My VIN shows up on the WW site now)

 

Dahveed, I see you're also in Austin. Did you order through San Antonio, Dallas or Houston. I ordered mine through San Antonio. Any news on which ship your on? My MA has not responded to my last email, and the status on the Mini site says awaiting transport.

They certainly have a gap in the wonderful tracking process. AskMini should figure out a way to be able to tell more shipping info.

 

Our mini must be waiting with msduncan's.... ours was completed on the 17th and there has been no update. (10 days!) I checked the few booking numbers I had and no dice! At least it is a little comforting to read all the logs for the 25th week and see others are going through what we are! I appreciate all of you, this is helping me a lot!
